30th December, 2020

Dear Parents,

Commenting on the vaccines, Bill Gates says “When I think back on the pace of scientific advances in
2020, I am stunned. Humans have never made more progress on any disease in a year than the
world did on COVID-19 this year.” He goes on to say “These breakthroughs will make 2021 better
than 2020.” This statement highlights that 2020, after all, has had its positives and that it is only
humans who can make 2021 a better year and that too with good education.

With the adoption of the new Hybrid system, we too share the same optimism for 2021 with the
learning we have had in 2020. It is with this view that the school has made new investments on
powerful digital learning tools and resources that will be supported by superior connectivity. On
return to school, your children will experience:

a. High quality interactive displays in the classrooms that will create learning experiences that
are immersive and interactive to optimize learning and increase student engagement.
b. A digital assessment platform where students can sit for assessments and examinations
under extreme secure conditions.
c. Powerful connectivity through our special relationship with Sri Lanka Telecom who will not
only deliver but distribute broadband within the school.
