TOPIC DESCRIPTION: Disaster Nursing is a new field of nursing that utilizes the professional
nursing skills, knowledge, and attitude in recognizing and meeting the nursing, emotional and
psychological needs of disaster victims.
LEARNING OUTCOME:
At the end of the session, the learners will be able to utilize the nursing process in the
management of the occurrence of a disaster making use of their skills, knowledge, and attitude on
triaging different type of patients.
