VII: Course Description : This course deals with the application of the concepts, principles and processes basic to the practice of nursing. It includes the utilization of the nursing process and
the core competencies under the eleven (11) key areas of responsibility. It covers the care of clients with medical, surgical and psychiatric disorders following the standards of evidence based-
practice through nursing research in response to the standards of nursing practice.

XI. Course Policy and Standards
1. Students are required to attend all classes wearing the complete school uniform

2. Students are expected to attend class sessions on time.

3. Male nursing students should wear the prescribed gentleman’s haircut

4. Assignments, plates, and projects must be submitted on or before the deadline/due date.

5. No special quiz/zes will be given if the student will miss any.

6. Cheating during any examinations or quizzes will be dealt with according to the student manual

7. Quizzes will either be announced or unannounced

8. Students are expected to consistently demonstrate professional behavior.

9. Students are required to bring their textbooks during classes


10. All students are required to bring their own yellow paper during classes

11. Students are required to pass the Final Examination in order for him/her to pass the Subject. Final Examination will Cover from the beginning to end of the subject.

XII. Attendance
Students are expected to attend class unless there is a compelling reason for absence. Attendance will be taken regularly through this class. Students who return to class after an absence
shall be responsible for completing all assigned course work. Communication with the instructor is vital to establish what and when missed course work needs to be completed. Students are
responsible for any announcements, changes in the schedule, handouts, projects explanations, etc. with occurred during the students absence.

XIII. Classroom Decorum


Classroom distractions are an annoyance to everyone and they interfere with the learning environment in the classroom. Chronic tardiness, side conversations, unnecessary exits, cell phone
text messaging, etc. are all considered unwanted distractions. Please remember to turn your cell phones OFF before coming to class, not during class. Students causing a distraction will be asked to
leave.
