First Steps

1. Check levels of Washing Solution ( 25 mL AC16434 / 5L distilled water ) and High Concentration Waste . Bear in mind to confirm
your actions by pressing ‘the bottle’ button when you have filled up the container. This button resets the scales.
2. You must go to Tools → Change reaction rotor (only in ‘standby’ mode) in order to swap it by another new one. Press ‘the up
arrow’ button to release the washing station from the reaction rotor cover. Press ‘the gear wheel’ button in order to come back
at the initial conditions. The program will execute a centering and adjusting of optical reading.
3. Check all the covers are correctly closed (Reaction and reagent rotor covers are critical !)
4. Connection with the PC is possible when the beep sounds. Bear in mind to press ‘the circled double arrow’ button to restore
communications or when you have entered the user software before to switch on the analyser.
5. Run a conditioning (the ‘blue drop’ button) from the menu Tools daily and every time you have filled up the Washing Solution
container.
6. Product reference (5412/5408) is necessary to perform manual pre dilutions of urine samples in a 1:10 ratio for ISE tests.
7. Automatic ISE washing cycle is required every time you have run at least 50 ISE preparations. It’s recommended you request an
Automatic washing cycle by yourself (Tools → ISE Utilities → General → Wash) if software does not request it by itself.
