Dear Monkey D.

Luffy,

I am Joecelle D. Valenzuela from the “D.” family like you, and a loyal straw hat. It has
been twenty-two years since you’ve started sailing. When I first watched your show, I was
hesitant because it already had 800 episodes, but I did catch up to the recent episode now;
where you’re in Wano with the whole squad trying to defeat Kaido and save the beloved land
of Oden from him. My favorite arc is the Wano arc, wherein you’re giving all your strength just
to help the people of Wano and fulfill the wish of Oden. And by helping the Akazaya members
and giving them strength to fight for their land; giving Momonosuke the purpose of why he is
still alive.
You’ve been into different arcs and places since you’ve started sailing with the straw
hats, I’ve seen how your character developed as well as your crew, your crew that gave you
strength and will to sail and find the treasure of Gol D. Roger that you really idolized. I’ve seen
how you got devasted and heartbroken when Ace died, you’ve fought with your life just to save
him and set him free, but seeing Ace died and feeling the pain of losing a brother didn’t stop
you from reaching what you’ve started because you still have your “Nakamas” with you. Zoro,
Nami, Ussop, Sanji, Chopper, Robin, Franky, Brook, and Jinbei, the “Nakamas” that you treat as
your family really love how you give importance to them. You’ll do everything just to save them
when they are in danger, that’s why they’ll do everything for you also. Even if you’re always
giving them a pain in the head for being stupid sometimes, they still love you and will sacrifice
everything for you, because they believe that you’re going to be the “King of Pirates”, like Gol
D. Roger. And I do believe also that you’re going to reach “laugh tale” and find the treasure of
the Pirate king there.
I admire your character because of your strong will power, for being extraordinarily
selfless, for going so far as to virtually sacrifice yourself to avenge or protect your friends, crew,
and family. And, for having an unstoppable sense of determination, optimism, and courage. But
please don’t be greedy when it comes to food (LOL), be very cautious and obey your crew’s plan
because you’re always putting them in danger when you’re attacking without notice. But still, I
know you’ll not let them get into harm. I am still hoping to be one of you crew. See you soonest
my future “King of Pirates”.

A loyal straw hat,

Joecelle D. Valenzuela
