Paragraph 1 – Comparison 2005 - Past

The cohort of people aged 0-14 and the elderly

DOMINATED the overall population in Oman,
BEING the highest proportion with less than
half, while the middle bracket accounted for a
very small percentage in 2005. This contrasted
to Spain, SHOWING people aged 60 years and
more, PRESENTING just above three-fifths,
BECOMING the largest. Less than a quarter of
those aged 15-59 years, and the remaining one
showed less than a fifth.

ON THE OTHER HAND,

BIGGEST = 60 years. 15-59 and 0-14 years.
Paragraph 2 – TREND 2055 – FUTURE
However, the rise is predicted to be seen in the figure
for the elderly with more than half, BEING the most
dominant group. Although the one for the middle
group will also increase BY 2%/ TO 6%, its proportion is
a forecast to be the lowest. In contrast, the youngest
group will show a marked decline to 37% in Oman.
When it comes to Spain’s population, there will be a
rise in the percentage of people aged 15-59 years,
INCREASING to 42%, but the other two groups will
show the REVERSE, BEING 62% and 12% respectively,
with 60+ years and the youngest one.
