I. OBJECTIVES
1.1 Content Standard
The learner will be able to understand and appreciate the elements
and contexts of 21st century Philippine literature from the regions.

1.2 Performance Standard


The learner will be able to demonstrate understanding and
appreciation of 21st Century Philippine literature from the regions through:
writing close analysis and critical interpretation of a literary text in terms of
form and theme, with a description of its context derived from research; and
an adaptation of a text into other creative forms using multimedia.

1.3 Learning Competency


Writing a close analysis and critical interpretation of literary texts and
doing an adaptation of these require from the learner the ability to: 1. identify
the geographic, linguistic, and ethnic dimensions of Philippine literary history
from precolonial to the contemporary

IV. PROCEDURE
4.1 Review
Let the students recount some historical events of our country
particularly during the Spanish and American era.

4.2 Presentation of new lesson


Students will be given a short text and based from that they will create
a graphic organizer which features their own understanding of literature and
forms.

4.3 Presentation of Concepts


The lesson will be presented through Power Point Presentation

4.4 Develop Mastery


Discussion
4.5 Practical Applications of Concepts and skills on daily living / Integration of
values and social issues
Students will share insights regarding the importance of the different
periods of Philippine Literature to the present time.

4.6 Generalization and abstraction about the lesson


Students will identify one period in Philippine Literary History and share
their understanding about it.

4.7 Evaluation
Students will create a timeline of periods in Philippine Literary History.

V. ASSIGNMENT
Search information about different authors in different regions.
