ABSTRACT

PRODIGO, LOREEN FAITH CABALUM, 2018. Coconut Shell Gown. BTTE

Undergraduate Project Study University of Southern Mindanao-Kidapawan
City Campus, College of Education Arts and Sciences, Sudapin,
Kidapawan City, 36pp

Adviser: Josephine G. Gonzaga, MVE

This study focused on designing and constructing a Coconut Shell Gown.

The coconut shell gown was converted into a casual and the lower part into table
runner then the upper part of a gown was constructed as tube design to avoid the
femininity. The lower part is also composed coconut shell same as the procedure
used at the upper part of the gown. To make the product different to others, the
researcher suggested innovating and making a Coconut shell gown that could be
turned into casual and table runner, vase covering, and placemat. The output
was beneficial to those people and students who want to make a small business,
sketching or designing and to have an extra income. The coconut shell gown was
ideal to those business minded and indigenous crafters as well as to those
attending fashion shows.

Keywords: Coconut Shells, Gown, Table Runner, Vase, Placemat.
