7 theories Scenario
1. Alertness theory
 Pedro is a businessman and owns a large company here in the Philippines, because of
his popularity as a businessman and because he is rich, many criminals want to rob him
and many are intrigued by him.
2. Economic theory
 Pedro lives in the province or called probinsya, because he wants to be in the city or
let's say he wants to go to manila because he wants to find a job and that will be good
for him. But unfortunately he was not fortunate enough to be able to find a permanent
job and he is working hard and he is already committing a crime because of poverty.
3. Opportunity theory
 Pedro is one of the well -known rich people in their town and he has many things and
valuables, but in the minds of his friends they are very valuable and expensive things,
due to his negligence, he did not know that he was being robbed.
4. Demographic theory
 Juan has many children but due to the fact that they are poor, Juan’s children are not
given proper food and supplies,because of this he commits crimes such as stealing
money and food due to poverty so that he can provide food and necessities for his
family.
5. Deprivation theory
 Juan has done criminology, his dream is very high and he wants to get it in just a snap
and he wants to be a full -fledged police officer. unfortunately he did not pass the board
exam, because of this he is out of his mind because he did not pass and he did not get
what he wanted so sometimes he can commit a crime against his family.
6. Modernization theory
 In Baao there are many drug addicts and it is known in an area where there are many
criminals, but when there were programs for people in the Baao area there were fewer
drug addicts and those who committed crimes because it was better and these
programs are not illegal.
7. Theory of anomie and synomie
 Juan is a criminal, due to the influenced of old norms in criminality Juan apply it to
commit a crimes.
Pros and Cons of the following terms in public safety:
1. Primitive society
 small population, crimes can be avoided because there are fewer people
 lack of written language, unable to immediately make a report on an incident
2. Bureaucratic society
 Economy, more people will be given jobs so less poverty and crime.
 Environmental destruction, so many people and has a opportunity to commit crime.
