Some of the reasons the Indolence in the Philippines way back during Spanish

times is that Rizal acknowledged that the Filipinos did not work as hard as they should
have because they had learned to adapt to the hot, humid environment. “An hour of
labor under the scorching light, in the midst of pernicious forces arising from nature in
action, is equivalent to a day of labor in a temperate climate.”. It's important to note that
indolence is a chronic malady in the Philippines, not an inherited one. Before the
Spaniards arrived, the natives were busy doing business with China, Japan, Arabia,
Malaysia, and other Middle Eastern countries. The explanations for this alleged
indolence were explicitly outlined in the article, and they were not based solely on
assumptions, but on historical facts. "Bahala Na" is a modern Filipino indolence.
Filipinos aren't hardy enough. Instead of adjusting, they prefer to deal with the situation.
Filipinos are prone to giving up quickly in situations that they have no control over. One
of the causes is the climate in the Philippines, where excessive workloads is always has
been in the practice but realistically is not applicable, particularly if the jobs require
direct sunlight exposure, which causes Filipinos to become exhausted and breakdown.
The lack of leadership among higher-ranking individuals tends to result in Filipino
indolence, in which they find little inspiration from their leaders, their leaders causing
them to be overworked. Toxic workplaces are those where employees are routinely
degraded by their work environment, resulting in a crab mentality among Filipinos.
Filipinos have a poor habit of lacking self-confidence, which has resulted in many lost
opportunities in their lives.

The "Bahala Na" system can be eliminated by changing the mindset of Filipinos
when faced with challenges and obstacles which will result in a more efficient and can
be an inspiration to others to eliminate these traits. The climate in the Philippines is
tropical and very hot, the enforcer of jobs that makes Filipinos expose to sunlight on
very long period of times should have an understanding and come up a method that will
not make Filipinos expose on a hot climate over a long period of times and for the
Filipino that expose to the sunlight ensure that always bring drinking water and find
sheds or trees that will prevent them from exposure on the sunlight to prevent the cause
of fatigue and exhaustion. The leaders of each teams should be inspirational and they
should rethink their way of leading that they should think if they were in the position of
their subordinates and reduce their workloads they give to their subordinate. The Crab
Mentality of Filipinos is one of the infamous traits of Filipinos where should be
eliminated for a long time because it affects the functions of an individual that applies
and the one being applied to; they should be happy if their co-workers having a great
opportunity in life which should be their inspiration and not to degrade them. Confidence
can be attained if we eliminate some of the things that makes us weak and nervous, we
must think the opportunities ahead that will come to us and have a confidence that you
can do it.

If this traits and Indolence of the Filipinos continuous, the next generation and
their generation will surely still suffer in a constant way at which an improved and united
Philippines will not have a glimpse to be true or realized. The long overdue of Indolence
of the Filipinos has been plaguing us since then, but now, we must eliminate these traits
for the sake of the next generation and our generation, where we produce inspiration
and unity among ourselves and the country. Where the potential and inspiration of our
country is shined to the world.
