II. PROJECT BACKGROUND

In these modern times, use of technology is not only a privilege but almost a necessity.
Especially when dealing with our 21st century learners, since almost all of them are
“digital natives”. The Department of Education’s DCP (DepEd Computerization
Program) has helped so many schools, especially the smaller ones in provinces, to
inculcate ICT into their teaching and learning processes.

The said INSET will serve as a refresher course for teachers who would like to enhance
their teaching skills by integrating ICT into their different subjects. The INSET will also
provide different insights as to how to meld traditional teaching styles with the new
technologies of today, and at the same time, will be providing teachers with different
tools (automated spreadsheets, etc.) which will eventually lighten their paperwork.

III. OBJECTIVES

At the end of the INSET, teachers will be able to:

 Understand the importance of ICT integration in their respective subjects for the
21st century learners.
 Equip themselves with appropriate ICT learning materials that are both holistic
and substantial.
 Utilize ICT integration not only in the teaching-learning process, but to internal
and external work responsibilities such as filing school forms, etc.
IV. TECHNICAL AND FINANCIAL INFORMATION

The INSET will utilize the interactive projector and 12 desktop computers in the
Computer Laboratory/AVR. I will be using different MS PowerPoint presentations to
showcase the topics that will be discussed. Video presentations will also be used.

As to the budget, it has been indicated as N/A since the budget for the snacks and meal
for the said training will be collected from the teachers.

V. PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION SCHEME

The INSET is composed of two parts. The first part of the programme will be held in the
morning and will be an introduction to ICT Integration in the Teaching-Learning Process.
It will also include guidelines in determining appropriate ICT learning materials, and the
utilization of tools which can help lessen the work load or paperwork of teachers. The
second part of the program will be held in the afternoon, and will be a hands-on session
on the different devices, programs, and tools. Attachment of the INSET programme and
layout of the presentations will be at the end of the proposal, and will be marked
APPENDIX A and APPENDIX B respectively.

With careful consideration of the school year calendar (DepEd ORDER No. 025, s.
2018), the proposed date for the INSET will be by April 8, 2019 to be held at the
Computer Laboratory/AVR of Manga Integrated School, from 8:00AM to 11:30NN and
1:00 to 4:00PM.

VI. Monitoring and Evaluation

The INSET will be monitored by the school principal, Sir Norvel H. Alangilan, as he will
also be present during the training. A feedback form will be given to the teachers prior to
the end of the program.

Note: (Attachment of the INSET programme, layout of the presentations, and feedback form
can be found at the end of this proposal, and will be marked APPENDIX A, APPENDIX B,
APPENDIX C respectively.)
