“I am a Filipino”
The pandemic, as we all know has resulted in severe economic and social impacts
around the world. Young people are particularly vulnerable to the disruptions of the
pandemic has caused and many are now at risk of being left behind in education, economic
opportunities and health and well-being during a crucial stage of their life development,
however, the response and recovery must be done in a way that protects the human rights of
all youth and students.

As for me, I was able to cope with the pandemic by praying to God and continuing to thank
him because I knew that everything happens for a reason, that God has a reason for giving
us this task, and that getting this pandemic is a blessing in disguise not just for me but also
for someone else. I have met a lot of people, but I never expected to meet people like them
because they are too nice to be true. Because of this pandemic, I have also strengthened my
trust in God and am determined to serve him with all my might. With this pandemic, I am
realizing a lot of stuff I should have learned earlier, but I know it is not too late. I force
myself to become busier than ever in order to divert my attention away from the pandemic
and focus on my responsibilities as a student, daughter, and concerned citizen in my country.
Despite the fact that we are in the midst of a crisis, everybody will be given the opportunity
to study. Since most of us agree that education is the most important factor in achieving
success. My faith in God helps me to overcome the struggles I face in life and he never
abandons me, which is why I vow to myself that I will never abandon him and will continue
to serve him no matter what. I, too, am coping with the pandemic thanks to the support of
my family and friends, who have given me courage and made me happy. I even try to stay
safe because I do not want to contract the infection, not because I am afraid of it, but
because I am afraid of what could happen to my family if I do.

As Filipinos, we differ from other nationalities in terms of how we deal with the
pandemic because we Filipinos never stop serving God and strengthening our trust in Him.
Although the Philippines is a poor country, it is abundant in goodness, humility, and
selflessness. We never think only of ourselves and we always think of others, including our
families, friends, and neighbors, whom we consider as brothers and sisters. Yes, we have
many flaws and can never stop making mistakes, but there is one thing Filipinos are good at,
and that is forgiving others and never allowing pride to win. We consider our loved ones to
be both our weakness and our strength. Despite the crisis, we must continue to research in
order to have a better future and the life we want in the near future.
