AP Fall Update 2021-22

Hello AP students and parents,

Welcome to the 2021-22 AP school year! I am Mrs. Sydney Radzinski, the CVHS AP Coordinator
and a school counselor at CVHS. My role is to communicate with AP teachers, students, and
parents about the AP testing process and to facilitate exam administration here at CVHS in the
spring. College Board requires that students commit to taking an AP exam in the fall. Students
are required to make this commitment by Friday, October 22nd.

The 2022 AP Exams will be administered in school as paper-and-pencil exams over two weeks in
May: May 2-6 and May 9-13. Exam dates by class can be found here. Registration for AP exams
is done online by the student. Students sign into *My AP (https://myap.collegeboard.org/login)
to access their AP classroom courses using a unique join code from their AP teacher. Once
logged in, they find their “exam decision indicator” and change it to “yes” or “no” indicating
whether or not they would like to commit to taking that exam.

Important Information:

Exam Decision: The exam decision deadline is Friday, October 22nd. By this date, students must
set their exam decision to “yes” or “no” through their My AP account. Students who choose
“yes” will have an exam ordered for them.

Cost: Each exam costs $100. Students who are on free/reduced lunch will have no fee for an
exam ($0). College Board charges a $40 cancellation and late fee. If a student decides to
change their exam decision after the deadline, a fee will be applied.

Payment: Payments are NOT being collected now. Payments will be collected in the spring
closer to exam administration. Payments must be made through Pay Schools Central with a
credit/debit card.

I will send another update regarding payments and exam administration closer to that time.

Thank you,

Sydney Radzinski, LLPC, NT

*Please Note: No school staff have any student login information for College Board (My AP). If a
student already has a College Board account, they should NOT create a new one. This can cause
a huge problem that is very difficult to fix later. They need to try and recover their username and
password when logging in (by clicking “forgot username” or “forgot password”.) If this does not
work, they need to call customer service to have it resolved (866) 315-6068.
