My Jesus, by the wounds on your left side struck with a lance so that blood

O my most merciful Jesus, look upon the soul of MAYNARD & all the
faithful departed for whom you have suffered & died; graciously accept
them into the kingdom of your eternal glory.

My Jesus, by the bloody sweat that flowed from your body during your
agony; R
My Jesus, by the slaps you received on your most loving face; R
My Jesus, by the many wounds inflicted upon you, where they scourged
you at the pillar; R
My Jesus, by the crown of thorns that pierced your most sacred head; R
My Jesus, by the suffering you endured when you carried the cross to
Calvary; R
My Jesus, by the bloody countenance you left imprinted on the veil of
Veronica; R

Oh my sweetest Jesus, to redeem mankind. You chose to be born in a
humble stable, & to undergo circumcision. You suffered the angry mockery
of the Jews. Betrayed by the kiss of Judas, you were led as a lamb to the
slaughter, paraded before Annas, Caiaphas, Herod & Pilate, while the mob
spat upon you & slapped your face. They scourged & crowned you the
prickling agonies of thorns. They covered your face with cloth to ridicule
you & ripped you naked before the jeering of the angry crowd. Nailed to
the cross, you stood between two thieves, & they gave you bitter gall to
drink; & when the strength had left your mortal body, they pierced your
side with a lance.
O my God, through all these sufferings that you endured for us, & still
endure each time we sin, have mercy on the soul of MAYNARD & the poor
suffering souls in purgatory, & grant them eternal happiness in heaven. By
your sacrifices & your work of redemption, save them from the eternal
damnation of hell fire, so that they, & we with them, may merit the
paradise you spoke of to the repentant thief whom you brought with you
into the glory of heaven, where you reign graciously with the Father & the
Holy Spirit, forever & ever. AMEN.

A: That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ
L: Lord hear our prayers
A: And let our cries come unto you.
O God, the Creator & Redeemer of all the faithful, ever consumed with
burning love for all souls, receive the soul of your faithful departed
MAYNARD. Be not severe in your judgment towards him, but let your
precious blood enclose his poor soul, so that gazing upon his soul
enveloped with the precious prize of our redemption, you may grant
MAYNARD full remission of all his sins. And through the loving & powerful
Intercession of our Celestial Mother & our humble, yet pious supplications,
may MAYNARD obtain the pardon that he had always desired.
And, merciful savior, even as we pray, send your Holy angels to conduct
MAYNARD to a place of refreshment, light, & peace, where you live & reign
forever & ever. AMEN.
FINAL PRAYER
Divine Majesty, our Lord & Creator, be merciful upon the soul of your son
MAYNARD, for whom we offer this novena, that he may attain everlasting
rest through the merits of the Virgin Mother, who was filled with sorrow
upon seeing your son taken into the sepulcher. Grant that MAYNARD may
be purified by the indulgences that we wish to obtain on his behalf, so that
he may receive forgiveness & unending peace.
Lord, grant the release of MAYNARD from every bond of sin & may he
rejoice with your Saints forever.
Grant also, we beg of you, the favor we ask during this novena, if it be for
your greater glory & the salvation of souls through Jesus Christ our Lord.
