1. Lesson Outcome
Through this activity, students, in pairs, write an email to a friend telling him/her
about “What is there in your town?”
2. Description
Step 1: Get into pairs.
Step 2: In pairs, choose the place you are going to describe.
o Make a list of the public places around the city you have
chosen.
o Divide the public places in singular and plural to use the
correct grammar.
o E.g: "There is a hospital." / "There are some parks."
Step 3: Look at the grammar tense about There is/There
are, There isn’t/There aren’t to write the description.
o Use the vocabulary about public places, set phrases,
quantifiers (some, any, many, a lot, ...) from this lesson.
o Write the email in an informal way.
Step 4: Write your first email draft.
o Remember to answer the question “What is there in your
town?” in your email.
o Remember to use the correct spelling of the words and
proper punctuation.
o Use capital letters when necessary.
Step 5: It’s time to write your email, remember to write complete sentences
(Subject + verb + complement).
Step 6: Once you have checked the file, upload it in PDF format to the
Canvas platform.

sanción disciplinaria correspondiente.
