Sheth (2020) reported that consumer behavior is based on time and store location.

The
Covid 19 pandemic lockdowns as well as social distancing resulted to the strict restrictions of
places to shop thus resulting to shortage of location and shops to purchase. Puttaiah (2020)
conducted a research concluding that consumers shifted their attention to e-commerce businesses
by purchasing online. Consumers relied on different digital platforms for their everyday
purchases. The Covid 19 pandemic also resulted to lesser use of public transportation that can be
attributed to their reliance on digital and online purchases. The study also observed that
consumers are now into value-based purchases as well as increasing their health awareness.
Additionally, Verma and Naveen (2021) stated that consumers tend to purchase products that are
manufactured and made locally. The consumers also avoided impulse buying and became more
aware of practicing need-based purchasing for their income was also affected by the covid 19
pandemic. Svajdova (2021) added that food, medicines and health related goods have increased
volume of sales whereas clothes, footwear and electronic appliances and gadgets showed a
decrease of sales that are evident to the awareness of consumers on need-based purchasing. But
the question still is if the consumers will stick with this habits.
