1. Description: A course in which will help you better navigate modern business terminology.
- The course consists of three main parts which are the main topics: Business Language To Go,
Talking Business, Words in the News.
+ In Business Language To Go, you will hear a collection of business conversations in that
enhance your listening skills as you getting used to the languages used in business contexts.
+ In Talking Business, you will be given a useful vocabulary and phrases in order to improve
your spoken communication skill in English in different business situations. This part contains 4
sections: Telephone, Meetings, Presentations, Negotiations. Each section features audio, target
language and a quiz. You will also have the opportunity to practice and test your understanding
of the language.
+ In Words in the News, it is an audio dictionary of business English, contains English
vocabulary, explanations and dictionary type definitions for business events and business
stories.
- Advantages and Disadvantages:
+ Advantages: the course has a large vocabulary and phrases for various business situations,
which provides the learners a variety of words. In addition, the audio has a script as an extra, so
learners can write down the new words to them.
+ Disadvantages: the course does not have many types of exercises, so learners have to try
harder if they want to achieve knowledge from the lessons.

2. Targeted learners: Pre-Intermediate and Upper-Intermediate learners.


3. Experience
At the beginning of the course, it was quite simple, considering the fact that I had met
the business vocabulary in the past. However, when I encountered the second part of the
course, things got quite different from before:
1) Talking Business -> Negotiations
- This section has 4 small parts: Asking for a pay rise, Difficult clients, Resolving difficulties and
Tricky conversations.
