Philippine sculptures became the pride of our country, the beauty that the foreign and even
locals had admired it is because of the dedication and love that the artist put in sculpting those
figures. Every known sculptures here in the Philippines tells stories, history, beliefs, and culture of
the Philippines. And for some reason even the personality of the artist can be seen in their
sculptures how they want to say to us Filipinos and to the whole world that “being Filipino is
something to be proud of”, their legacy is also curve to every edges and carving of their statue they
want to inspire us to preserve our culture and enrich our love of arts because nowadays because
of evolving society some of us forgot how artwork like sculpting became part of our everyday life,
and how the arts became the medium in expressing our feeling that we Filipinos known for through
history.
Being a student and a Filipino promoting Philippine Sculptures here in the Philippines
specially here in our province could bring back to our fellow Filipinos the felling in appreciating the
beauty of this sculpture. We could use social media as a medium in promoting it by doing blogs
like telling beautiful stories behind those sculpture. We can also participate and initiate activities or
programs that can advertise and protect our Philippine Sculptures. And we could also educate
young ones about the Philippine Sculptures, through that we had preserve our culture and inspire
them sculptures by implanting that information to their young minds that they can also pass it to
the next generation. There are a lot of ways in promoting not just the Philippine Sculpture, but also
the other form of arts, our culture , history and beliefs , its way to promote of this things is limitless
it is just the matter of your intention in preserving, protecting and love of this things.
