Do any two projects out of four

Project 1

Survey of various types of bank accounts interest rates

1. Visit at least four banks of your choice to find out about the above mentioned

bank accounts

2. Represent the comparative rates in the form of line graph

3. Which bank offers the maximum rate and what is the difference between the

maximum, and minimum rate of interest of that particular bank.

4. What are the other works banks do apart from handling accounts

Project 2

Planning a home budget

1. Note the monthly expenditure on various items like clothing , house rent or EMI of

home loan (if any), education , health, travel, miscellaneous etc

2. Calculate the percentage of each expense

3. Represent the information in the form of bar graph

4. Difference between maximum and minimum expenditure


Project 3
To use a newspaper to study and report on shares and dividend

Important Points :

1. Introduction.

2. Meaning of Shares and Dividends.

3. Discussion of various Shares and Dividends of different companies.

4. Comparison of Shares of different companies.

5. Comparison of profit on sale/purchase of Shares of different companies.

6. Business News.

7. Conclusion.

Project 4

Set a dropper with ink in it at a height above a horizontally placed sheet of plain

paper. Release one ink drop; observe the pattern, if any, on the paper. Vary the

vertical distance and repeat. Discover any pattern of relationship between the

vertical height and the ink drop observed.

Material Used : Ink, Dropper, Plain paper sheet, Board and scale.

Procedure : Place a plain paper sheet horizontally on the board, fill the

dropper with ink and release ink drop by drop from dropper on
the sheet from different heights at different places.

Observation : We see circular shapes of ink on the paper sheet and observe that “ As

the height increases size of circle will also increases” , as radius is directly proportional

to the height.

Result : As radius of the circle is directly proportional to the height of the dropper.
