AltronTM FCC Air
Distributor Nozzles
Specifically designed for the Petrochemical Industry and the harsh conditions within Fluid
Catalytic Cracking Units, Blasch’s ceramic FCC Air Distributor Nozzles exhibit exceptional wear
and corrosion resistance, resulting in less downtime and ultimately decreased catalytic loss.
The wear and corrosion resistant properties of Altron make our FCC Air Distributor Nozzles a
perfect solution for the severe environment within Fluid Catalytic Cracking Units. Reliability and
maintenance engineers rely on Blasch high performance Altron FCC Air Distributor Nozzles.
Engineered ceramics/metal assemblies can be welded in place of existing steel nozzles giving
engineers freedom to worry about other parts of their FCCU turnaround.
Once installed, highly abrasion resistant Altron FCC Air Distributor Nozzles far outlast traditional
high alloy steel or even other ceramics, to help you to achieve financial performance objectives by
optimizing catalyst efficiencies, maximizing cat cracker life, and eliminating costly
maintenance/replacement costs traditionally found in metallic components.

AltronTM
▐ Metals and ceramics behave quite
differently to abrasive wear.
▐ Metals respond better to angles of impact
approaching 90 degrees.
▐ Ceramics prefer acute angles of impact
and handle sliding abrasion better.
▐ Consequently, ceramic is the better
choice for most fluidized bed
applications.
▐ Alumina Bonded Silicon Carbide exhibits
far superior abrasion resistance and
temperature capability to alloys steels.
