took earlier. This, he noted,
would help the doctors provide
better medical treatment in a
faster mode.
Jagan also asked them to
keep details of the blood group
of the people on their health
cards. The officials informed
him that as part such pro-
gramme, they were generating
health IDs for all people in the
state.
The officials briefed the CM
about the present status of
spread of Covid-19 and the
number of infected patients
taking treatment in the hospi-
tals and also about the pre-
paredness to face a third wave
of the pandemic. They said the
Covid-19 positivity rate was
1.62 per cent in the state at
present, while the recovery
rate was 98.86 per cent.

diethylamide (LSD) along

chastened Sri Lanka seems to be keen on resetting its ties with India if the
vibes around the Indian foreign secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla’s
four-day visit are anything to go by. The palpable warmth in the meetings

on a cruise ship off the
Mumbai coast on October 2
was “fake” and no narcotic
drugs were found during it.

finally has a hit release,
the company is predicting
a bright future for that
business.
Games could end up
being the largest enter-
tainment category over
the long haul, Andy Jassy,
the chief executive offi-
cer, said on Tuesday at a
technology conference.
It's a bold pronouncement
for a company with
almost a decade of fail-
ures in gaming and one
that just renewed its com-
mitment to the movie
business in the form of an
$8.45 billion acquisition
of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.
A week ago, Amazon
released New World, an
online computer game
where archers and axe
wielders colonise a myth-
ical land. Jassy said it's
off to a "great start" and
has a couple million
active players a day.
Interest from gamers and
from viewers on
Amazon's livestreaming
website Twitch has sus-
tained over the last week,
and the first four online
reviews were generally
positive, with an average
score of 81 per cent on the
aggregator website
Metacritic.
Even before Jassy
became CEO in July, he
oversaw Amazon's effort
to break into video
games. The division,
which debuted in 2012,
