Checking the Rotor Speed – Check that the unit achieves an operating speed of 5,100 rpm ±5% in the 3-
minute and 5-minute settings. (option)

Checking the Rotor Speed – Check that the unit achieves an operating speed of 4,500 rpm ±5% in the 10-
minute setting. (option)

Inspect the rotor for cracks or damage.

Record the operating cycles.

Clean the inside surfaces of the shield and bowl, as well as the rotor. (When the cycle counter in the
instrument reaches 50,000 spins)

Inspect the cover and housing for any cracks – particularly around the hinge area. (When the cycle
counter in the instrument reaches 50,000 spins)

Inspect the cover gasket for tears and excessive flattening. (When the cycle counter in the instrument
reaches 50,000 spins)

Inspect the latch guide (black) on the front of the housing for cracks. (When the cycle counter in the
instrument reaches 50,000 spins)

Inspect the keypad for cracks or worn areas. (When the cycle counter in the instrument reaches 50,000
spins)

Inspect the rotor for cracks, warping, or loose hardware. (When the cycle counter in the instrument
reaches 50,000 spins)

Perform the resetting the cycle counter. (When the cycle counter in the instrument reaches 50,000
spins)
