laptop handouts.
2. Students (Ss): notebook and pencils.

- It may take time for Ss to complete practice activities → T gives suggestions


immediately if Ss have problems.
- There are some technical problems so that the teacher cannot deliver the Ss with
slides → Prepare hard copies of materials which are presented on slides .
- Lack of handouts -> prepare carefully based on the number of students in class to
print enough handouts

1. Language Development
Reading
- Ss work in 4 groups, skim the text and find out the main ideas
of each paragraph, discuss their ideas with other groups
- Then T asks them to scan the text, underline keywords in
10 mins each question, and circle the answers
- After finishing, all 4 groups write down their answers on the
board
- T compares their answer and gives the correct answers
Listening
- Work individually
- T asks Ss to look at the whole questions, listen to the audio
and choose the answer they hear
15 mins - Then, asks some Ss to read their answers (explain why they
choose), then check the answers with the whole class (Play
the audio twice if necessary )

● In 5 minutes, Ss work in pairs to take turns to ask and answer
the questions. Then Ss note down their ideas

* Ss are allowed to use their smartphones to look up new
