SAFETY INDUCTIONS AND TRAININGS FOR ALL WORKERS ON SITE

AVIC is committed to taking all appropriate measure to provide a safe and healthy work place,
comply with local legislation and requirements to protect the environment.

We are committed to protecting the safety and health of all workers and visitors on this site.

The construction site is large with diverse of activity and work sites including but not limited to open
excavation sites, concrete works, bush clearing among others. Due to this diversity, hazards present
in our work places may vary from site to site.

 For your safety and that of others while at this site, please take time read this guidance
carefully. If anything is unclear, kindly request for clarification from a member of the HSE
team.
 Signing in and out of site is important as this facilitates the speedy evacuation of visitors or
workers in case of such an incident requiring evacuation.
 Visitors are not allowed to enter this site unless accompanied by authorized member of staff
or security at the main entry of the gate
 All visitors moving around sites other than the contractor’s offices and mess whole shall be
required to wear helmets and high visibility jackets
 Smoking is not permitted in the offices, warehouses or stores and shall only be permitted in
designated areas. All smokers must use ashtrays and should not drop cigarettes butts on the
ground.
 Footwear must be fully enclosed at construction site; visitors or workers with sandals or flip
flops shall be denied access to the construction site.
 Visitors must not trespass. Should you desire to access any part of this site, you must do so
while accompanied by an authorized member of staff.
  All visitors and other workers must exit through the security gate
 All PPEs given shall be returned to the reception / stores at the end of the work
 Littering is not permitted or allowed on this site; wastes must be deposited in garbage waste
bins provided all round the site.
 All visitors and workers accessing this site must sign in and out
 Always rescue and report the person with an accident on site immediately before 24working
hours.
 Drinking (buzzing alcoholic contents) is prohibited while at work place during working
hours
 Wearing of slippers, sandals, high heeled shoes, neck scafs and waist coats etc. are not
allowed on this site
 Handing over your work to another person without notice is prohibited and random
operation to others machinery is prohibited
 Sleeping in the construction area is prohibited; do not have arest in dangerous areas such as
under traffic loads, under equipment, edge surface, and abrupt slopes and in the trenches
 Trespassing is not allowed on this construction site, leave the construction area from the
safety pass ways and obey the traffic rules on site
 First aid is available at the site clinic. These have sign posts with a cross in the centre.
 Fighting, horse play, theft and mockery are prohibited on this site during working hours
 Vehicle speed limits must be observed in accordance with signage display at site throughout
the project area. Speed limit must be 10km/hr while driving at site.
 In case of any emergence, all visitors and other workers must report to the nearest
emergence assembly point as guided by the authorized staff accompanying you. At th
emergence assembly point you must wait and answer to your name while the workers or
visitors roll is called. It is important that you wait at this point otherwise you might be
