Tequilas Menu
Tequila is the spirit of Mexico, the people's drink for the past 400 years. The name, meaning "stone
that cuts," comes from an ancient village (now a city) in the state of Jalisco. The unique flavor of
tequila doesn't come from a fruit, a grain, or even the cactus, as so many believe. Tequila comes from
the distilled heart of the Blue Agave plant! The wonderfully intense sap that was first used by the
Aztecs to create a lightly alcoholic drink known as pulque has come a long way. Today the quality of
the best tequilas rivals the world's finest cognacs and scotches. Ideally, it makes the ultimate aperitif, a
delicious charge for the taste buds before a fine meal.
Tequila Blanco
This style is often referred to as "White" or "Silver." It is bottled within two months of distillation and
never touches oak. Blancos are clean and natural, yet show majestic and complex aromas, which
emphasizes the earthy characters of the regions they come from.

Tequila Reposado
This smooth style is ideal for the occasional tequila drinker. "Reposado" means "rested" and refers to
the required aging in giant wooden tanks for two months to a year. You'll enjoy the way the wood
softens the tequila without sacrificing the intense, fresh Blanco flavors.

Tequila Anejo
Considered to be the most subtle and sophisticated style, Anejo's are the ultimate in hand crafted
tequilas, requiring at least a year of aging in small toasted oak barrels. The result of this process is a
rich flavor, dark color and powerful elegance. Anejos are at their best when sipped and relished,
providing a wonderful after dinner drink sure to relax you.

Mezcal Aguave
This cousin to tequila is made from a different species of the Agave plant. Many of you have heard
about the worm in the bottom of a tequila bottle, but you're actually hearing about mescal. Unlike
tequila, mescal is cooked underground with charcoal fires before distillation. By cooking the Agave this
way, the beverage develops a robust and smoky flavor that is truly one of a kind.
• Del Maguey "Minero" $9.50
• Monte Alban $6.50
• Hacienda Chihuahua Sotol $8.25
• Dos Gusanos $5.75
