    An undulation measuring 0.60x0.60 m and 20 mm deep located at chainage 345+660 on the left hand shoulder side of a PQC site trail was repaired. The undulation area was chipped and cleaned before applying a bonding coat consisting of cement, water and latex. Latex modified concrete was then placed over the undulation surface, finished to match the original profile, textured, and cured with water. The repaired surface was later verified as satisfactory.

    PQC undulation repair Site trail report

    Location -345+660 LHS Shoulder side

    Size of undulation-0.60x0.60 m

    Depth-20.0 mm

    Activity

    1. The undulation area is cleaned and chipped 60 cm box and 20 mm depth.

    2. The chipped surface is scarified and rubbed well

    3. 3 cement, 1 water and 1 latex is mixed well and applied as a bonding coat.

    4. The bonding coat is let dry as SSD condition.

    5. The premixed latex modified concrete is placed over undulation surface.

    6. The mix surface finished and matching with original road profile.

    7. The texturing has been made with standard template after initial setting time of concrete.

    8. Curing process also done with normal water.

    9. The finished surface has been verified by IRCON/IE on later and found satisfactory.
