All FE”s will collect the drg. From FDC released by Home Engineer Office for
construction of concern work. He will study the entire drg. Execution point of
view and settled the query if any through FQC/QAM/CM.

A. Brick masonary:
All materials before starting shall be tested & approved as per ‘TOS’.
Documents shall be submitted for the same.
Bricks shall be wet before using.
Layout done for the execution shall be checked.
The concrete surfaces shall be hacked properly before proceed.
Measuring box shall be used for maintaining proportion.
Sand & Cement shall be dry mixed & water shall be added thereafter as required.
This mortar shall be used before it began to set.
All joints shall be cut vertically.
Work shall not be raised more than 12 courses per day.
Joints to be filled with mortar properly & racking shall be done.
In case of half brickwork, walls shall be reinforced with 6mm dia. 2 nos. at every
fourth layer.
Curing shall be done after 12hrs and to be done till required.
B. Plastering:
1) Inside plaster
All raw materials shall match ‘TOS’ requirements.
Work shall proceed after conforming the completion of electrical/plumbing work.
Surface of brickwork should be wet before starting work.
Ratio of mortar shall be as specified.
First dry mix should be done & water shall be added as required.
Plaster of 150mm x 150 mm shall be first applied horizontally & vertically at not
more than 2mtr interval to serve as gauges.
The surface of these gauged areas shall be truly in the plane of the finished
plaster.
Chicken wire mesh shall be fixed on junction of RCC overlapping 300mm with
brickwork.
All corners, junctions, Chamfering etc. shall be carefully finished with proper
tools.
Curing shall be done for a minimum period of 10 days.
3. FLOORING WORK.
Floor shall consist of a sub-base, a base course & finishing layer of floor finish.
Sub-base shall be laid on the prepared bed & shall be of specified thickness.
Line, level & slope shall be as per Drg.
Concrete mix shall be used within 30min.
Finishing work shall immediately start after completion of base course.
Finished surface shall be kept wet by ponding for a minimum period of 10 days.
On the finish surface top layer hydraulically pressed tiles/ Kota stone shall be laid
as per the specification and drg.
Cement mortar of specified thickness shall then be spread over the base for two
rows of tiles and 3-5 mt. in length.
The mortar shall be laid in slope as per requirement.
The top of the mortar shall be kept rough to absorb the cement slurry.
Lying shall be from centre & proceed outwards in two perpendicular directions.
Cut tiles of uniform size shall be used in periphery if required.
Neat cement slurry @2 kg/sq.mt. Shall be spread over the mortar bed for laying
20 tiles at a time.
The surface & joints of tiles shall be cleaned with broom stick & washed before
cement sets hard.
To match the shade of the tiles the joint shall be filled with cement on the next
day.
The flooring shall be cured for 7days by keeping it wet by ponding.
