One major requirement to becoming a renowned soccer player is to have a killer diet of Veggies

and shakes with lots of exercises. But that’s not entirely true, in fact, what these players eat off
the pitch, not only affected their good performance, it almost cost them their lives!!!

Before we begin this video, you might want to drop that little hamburger you’re holding, and pay
close attention to what we’re about to reveal.

Football players go through a lot of training and in the case Ousmane Dembele, the only way he
knew how to unwind his everyday workout was with a couple slices of pizza! Or whatever other
junk he felt like eating.
Following his move from Borussia Dortmund to Barcelona, which cost the Spanish giants €105
million plus a rumored €40 million in add-ons, the Frenchman remains one of the most
expensive players in football history.

Since his arrival in the summer of 2017, he had repeatedly been late to training and other
meetings or functions, demonstrating a lack of respect for the club and his teammates. This was
attributed to the poor diet and lifestyle he was having. Eating mega-sized pizza! taking
chocoloate before bed and having midnight snacks. There’s no way he could be up early for
training the next day!!

Meanwhile, on the field, he was not familiar with Barcelona's style, and while his enormous skill
helps fill the holes, it was evident that he was still not completely on board with the club's
eccentric manner and diet needed.

This guy was literally self-destructing! Therefore, Barcelona had to intervene.

They had to assign him a personal chef who will prepare meals with a precise balance of all the
nutrients he required. He also got a personal bodyguard *Voice Over laughs subtly* just in
case he tries to steal some fried chips in the middle of the night. The good part is, Barcelona’s
doctors and physios also pay him monthly visits at his residence to make sure all is in check.
Dembele has denied this claims on many occasions but Barcelona’s nutritionist Maria Antonia
Lizarraga said otherwise;

"For Dembele and the rest, we offer the maximum help to help them have a good diet at home.
There are players that take food from the club home. Every player that has come from outside
and that we thought wouldn't improve has made significant changes."

Dembele consistently displayed pace, skill, and sound decision-making during his time at
Dortmund, making him one of the most talked-about young players in the world. If he adjusts
and refocuses, he could be worth the huge fee Barcelona paid to bring him aboard.

Speaking of Barcelona, Lionel Messi had a lot on his plate to deal with during his early days at
the club. By that I mean lots and lots of junk food were literally on his plate!!!!
Messi debuted in 2004 and quickly ascended up the ranks in the years that followed.

Lionel Messi's career as a child, on the other hand, could have taken a different path if it hadn't
been for a few important interventions from his trainers. Messi was significantly smaller and
weaker than his opponents when he was diagnosed with growth hormone insufficiency at the
age of 11.
Furthermore, Lionel Messi was compelled to take human growth hormone to aid his growth and
fulfill his football career. To make matters worse, Messi did not properly care for his health and
did not follow a diet, instead opting for junk food and fizzy beverages.
This guy could eat anything! Chicken pot pie, pizza, chocolate, you name it!

In fact, Lionel Messi's Coca-Cola and junk addiction had progressed to the point where the
athlete was forced to seek the advice of a nutritionist. After severe orders from Pep Guardiola,
Barcelona had to take emergency action and remove the vending machines from the training
grounds.
Messi loved his junk so much, he despised leafy salads and healthy foods. He’d ‘walk away' if it
was placed in front of him. Can you believe that?!

The good part was, he still performed exceptionally well on the pitch, but...it was getting
out of hand.
After some time, Messi got sick. Everyone noticed he looked different. It was so bad he started
throwing up on the pitch during matches! If this had persisted, the barcelona dream for Leo
would have been cut short.

Reminiscing on these events in an interview with La Cornisa TV, Messi had this to say;

I ate badly for many years: chocolates, fizzy drinks, and everything. This is what made me
throw up during games. Now I look after myself better. I eat fish, meat, salads. Everything is
organised and taken care of.

After a lot of support from his teammates and coach, he started eating healthy and decided to
produce the best version of hamburgers…*voice over laughs* I mean himself.

In the case of Hector Bellerin, it was not about what he ate off the pitch, but what he
needed to eat to get on the pitch!

Since 2016, the Spain international has been a vegan. According to his former club Arsenal, this
may have slowed his recuperation process.
Bellerin had been Arsenal's first-choice right-back for a long time, and the club did not have a
suitable substitute.

Arsenal was concerned that Hector Bellerin's diet was preventing him from recovering from
injuries faster. The Spaniard is known to struggle with ailments, and despite returning from
numerous long-term injuries, he still struggles to regain full fitness. Arsenal’s medical team
began to suspect that it was due to his diet.
While the right-back acknowledged to learning about veganism from Netflix films, he turned to a
vegan diet for athletic reasons. The Arsenal star discovered that eating a plant-based diet could
help him recuperate by reducing muscle inflammation and discomfort levels. A few years later,
the Spain international learned about the ethical and environmental benefits of veganism, which
solidified his decision to live a vegan lifestyle.

However, the Arsenal star's recent troubles with form and fitness have raised some concerns
about his decision to go vegan.

Don’t get it wrong; being vegan is a great and applaudable decision. As a matter of fact, many
other soccer players have gone vegan and still perform extremely well while at it. But the thing
is, our body compositions are entirely different and in the case of Hector Belllerin, he might want
to hire a nutritionist to help plan his meals properly or prove to the fans and his team that going
vegan means nothing to his in-game form.

If you’ve done that, make sure you get real comfy here because this video is about to
take a drastic turn!

When it comes to players currently on form around the world, Robert Lewandowski deserves to
be on that list. Robert has been dominating in recent games and is technically unstoppable. If
you’re a great fan of football, you’d know Lewandowski hasn’t always been this prolific on the
pitch. This all came as a result of his crazy diet!!!!!

Lewandowski didn’t really have a stable diet. He could eat anything. But this was affecting his
play. He knew he was good, he believed it but he still somehow came short of the type of play
he expected. His wife Anna noticed how concerned he was about his performance on the pitch
and decided to analysis the problem. This gave birth to a magnificent secret diet that bolstered
Lewandowski’s play and made him better than he ever was.

She invented the backward feeding diet!

The 'backwards feeding diet' requires the Polish striker and his wife to start each meal with a
sweet treat. This is followed by rice with meat or fish and the meal is completed with a salad or
soup. Do you get the logic? They start each meal with a dessert and end with an appetizer.

Isn’t that brilliant?!!

This diet prohibits the consumption of any fried or fast food, as well as cow's milk or lactose and
wheat flour. That means they eat a lot of vegetable spaghetti, millet, and oat porridge on a
weekly basis.

Anna has her own nutritionist business on Instagram, where she offers food programs and
routines. She also has a YouTube fitness channel. This diet system might sound strange, but
the results are glaring.
Lewandowski has been in fantastic form for Bayern; scoring 108 goals in his last 87 games.

With Cristiano Ronaldo, you might think his diet consists only vegetables, but it’s the complete
opposite!

No player in international football has received greater acclaim for his physical abilities and
dedication to his craft than Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo possesses a unique set of physical abilities, combining quickness and agility with
outstanding aerial ability and power. Ronaldo was not born with such characteristics. The
rippling physique we see today is a far cry from the thin youngster who came at Manchester
United from Sporting in 2003.

So how did he get this built?! Just look at those abs!

WhIle majority of it can be associated with his time at the gym, his diet comes into play and is
totally different from what you might think.

The Portugal international works with a personal dietitian who has been with him since his days
at Real Madrid, and he takes six little meals a day, or one every three to four hours.

He eats lots and lots of swordfish, sea bass, and sea bream, and his favorite dish is bacalhau a
braz, which is made with cod, onions, thinly sliced potatoes, and scrambled eggs.

He also eats plenty of fruits and lean proteins. Ronaldo claims that he regularly orders steak
and a salad at restaurants and that he never orders anything frozen; everything he eats is fresh.

And yes, Ronaldo looooves chicken too! So don’t worry about having that bucket of chicken all
to yourself.

Just like every other person, after eating you need to rest and so does Ronaldo but in a unique
style. He doesn’t just sleep for 8 hours at a go, he takes 10-15 minute naps during the day and
sleep for fewer hours at night. Pretty smart if you ask me.
