L6: We know that you are stressed.

L7: We know that you are tired.

L8 and L9: But we also know that you are fighting, because you are all fighters.

L10: Adapting, because you are all heroes.

L11 and L12: While here we are: the young soldiers looking up to your brave spirits and
beautiful faces.

L13 and L14: Thank you for leaving us guiding footsteps that will assist us in navigating
our way through our journeys.

L15 and L16: causing us to see that limiting oneself out of fear of being judged only
serves to hinder our pursuit of joy, solitude, and growth.

L17 and L18: Despite the troubles we cause you on a daily basis, thank you for never
abandoning us as parents would with their own children.

L19 and L20: No amount of gratitude, bouquets, or cake slices can truly express how
much you mean to us.
