There will be an area for the ingredients and another area for the rolling and flattening of the dough. There will
also be an area where they can decorate their cookies before we bake them.

Instructional Procedures:

The steps that will be taken are that each child will be given their own bowls to bake with. For the first part I will be telling the kids
what we are doing and giving them instructions on what to do with the assistance of a second teacher. The kids will all be adding
the ingredients to bake the cookies themselves but with supervision. The way that I would incorporate technology into this is that I
will be playing a short video on baking cookies before we start the activity. The first part will take approximately 30 minutes
considering that I am working with preschoolers, it will most likely take them longer to put all the ingredients in their bowls. The
second part will be the mixing of the ingredients with would probably take 10 minutes. I will then bake the cookies and the next
day the children will be able to decorate and eat them.

Day 1:
Ten minutes: The first ten minutes I will be explaining what we are doing to the students. The student will also be putting on their
smocks and getting prepared. I will also be playing a video about baking for them to watch before we start.
20 minutes: I will be showing them what to do step by step but also will stop and help whoever needs it. I will also be using open-
ended questions as well as scaffolding skills to help them. The students will be adding in the ingredients for the cookies as well as
mix them in the bowl. After they are finished, I will be baking them inside an oven.

Day 2: For the second day the students will be able to decorate their cookies with different flavored icing as well as sprinkles if
they want to. For this part of the activity, they can use their creativity to make their cookies look like however they wish to.
