LET’S REVIEW : Give simple sentence with simple subject and compound
predicate ,compound subject and simple predicate
LET’S STUDY
1. Angelo and Michael thought of and decided to skim board in the sea.
2. Angelo and Michael rode and drove their skim boards from far afar .
3. They felt the heavy splash of the waves, corals, and seashells that were
splashed and driven away by the waves.
4. The splash of water and the tweeting of birds livened up and freshened
their moments of skim boarding.
5. Tourists and passers-by rested and recreate on this widely open
adventure.
LET’S DISCUSS
What are the subjects in every sentence? How many subjects are there in
every sentence?
What are the predicates in the sentences? How many predicates are
there in every sentence? What connectors
Were used in both the subjects and predicates? What sentence patterns did
we use in every sentence?
Remember:
1. Two or more simple subjects/predicates can be joined together to
form the compound subject/ predicate of the sentence.
2. A compound subject is made up of two or more simple subjects
joined by “and”
3. A compound predicate is made up of two or more verbs joined by
“and”

of many heroes.
10.Tomatoes and lettuce grow from seeds and can be eaten raw.
