that brought greater impact to the advancement of tourism? Please mention at least

2. Describe the evolution of travel and hospitality from Early Modern Period to
Modern Period.

3. Name two pioneers of tourism and hospitality industry and share your research on
their notable contributions/ innovations in the field. (5 points each)
4. When and how did the Philippines gain its peak in the tourism industry?

5. What do you think are the significant factors in the growth of tourism in the

Activity 2. Concept Map


Direction: Choose 5 significant contributions from different eras and periods of the
tourism and hospitality industry and discuss the impact of their contributions on

Activity 3. Timeline

Direction: Create a timeline of the origin of Philippine tourism. Make the timeline
creative. You are encouraged to use short statements/ texts only. To further support
the texts, you are required to add icons/ symbols/ graphics that represent each event
in the timeline. Create your timeline in a one-page short bond paper. (it could be
portrait or landscape presentation). Rubric will be the criteria to check your work.
