LESSON 5: MEALTIME IS HAPPY TIME

I. INTRODUCTION
How do you eat during mealtime? Why is it important to behave during mealtime?

II. OBJECTIVES

 Know the table manners; and


 Know the importance of table manners.

III. LESSON PROPER

Happy mealtime
Proper behavior during mealtime is called table manners. Having good table
manners is a way of showing respect. It makes every mealtime a happy time.

How to behave properly during Mealtime


1. Pray before meals – Thank God for the food on the table.
2. Sit properly during mealtime – Elbows do not rest on the table. Do not put
your feet up and use the utensils properly.
3. Get the amount of food you can finish – It is not good to have leftover food on
the plate. Always make sure you have no left over food on your plate.
4. Chew your food quietly- Do not slurp or make noises with your mouth. In
Filipino Culture , it is impolite to make noises while eating.
5. Asks politely if you want to get something you can’t reach- Always says “ Please”
and “ Thank you “. Remember to always say “please” and “ thank you”
6.Cover your mouth when burping – Say” excuse me” when you burp.
7.Don’t talk if your mouth is full- Swallow your food before saying something.

Secondary Colors – colors are formed by combining two primary colors. The
Secondary colors are green, violet, and orange.
