Connecting with people on the other side of the world is now much easier than
it was a few years ago. Satellites, fiber-optic cables and the internet make it
effortless to share information with those in different time zones and locations.
Global communication is directly affected by the process of globalization, and
helps to increase business opportunities, remove cultural barriers and develop
a global village. Both globalization and global communication have changed the
environmental, cultural, political and economic elements of the world.
As people cross borders because of globalization, more language contact
happens, making communication more challenging. So, some effects of
globalization on global communication are that why manners, body language
and non-verbal gestures are consumed differently in different cultures. The
reason for that is usually when we are in the other country, we meet a lot of
people from different cultures and from different society where in, we are able
to develop the culture or body language on how they talk, how they act and
same thing with gestures and we’ll be influenced on what we see with their
surroundings. And of course, it is easy to access the world. Nowadays, you can
go abroad, you can connect with the internet and you can tell to someone in
other country even if you’re not there we can meet virtually. Secondly, the
information it’s here in the internet, we can use the google, we can use the
search button and it can also contribute by posting any information that you
can able to share into social media, so that’s can easy on how can we get
information on social media, and at the same time it’s easy for us to share
knowledge into other people trough communication and technology. Also,
there is necessity for cultural awareness in terms of body language, when we
talk to other people from different places, we have to observe the culture what
they have because we don’t know if we may offend them, so by being aware by
other people’s culture we can avoid the miscommunication. In addition, one
should get used to dynamics of cross-cultural communication, we have to make
sure that we should understand the dynamics of cross-cultural communication.
We have to adopt to the changes and to the culture from one person to another
or from one country to another so we should need to get used to it.
In addition, we have to make sure that we used the technology properly
to communicate people to the other side globe and it’s very important, we have
to make sure on how to utilize all this technology for our advantage that they
can understand us, that we can send the message accurately, that we can
communicate with other people or from different country effectively. Last,
virtual communication must be introduced specially today. Since we have this
kind of covid-19 Pandemic so there are many people using virtual
communication in their job, transaction, with their business, from one place to
another. Other companies, call center agent, online class and etc. they work
from home and they use virtual communication for advantage for their business
on how the able to communicate with their clients, employees, co-workers and
students so that’s the effects of globalization in terms of communication.

We have to remember that globalization is essentially an economic

phenomenon because it is concerned with the movement of people or
products, not just nationally or not just in one country but from other country
as well or form one country to another. Because of globalization moves people
across borders or products it affects are felt not only in economic terms but also
in social in cultural aspects as well, globalization also impacts communicating so
that is also true and globalization is influential for the business, people, and
products it is something to do also with communication because we have to
deal to the other person or country trough communication.
