1. Wat Pho depicts the lines as the major element. The design is characterized by subtlety of arts
and form with considerable use of symbols. Sculpted materials have consisted of wood, stone,
ivory, clay, and metal. Use a variety of techniques including carving, modeling in construction
and casting.
2. Golden Buddha is about five and a half tons of solid gold. Sculptures were gilded or decorated
with gold leaf in free-form designs on lacquer backgrounds.
3. The metal sculpture of Brunei is very artistic. The lines and form came out perfectly and balance.
4. The merlion of Singapore is one of a kind. The figure of a lion and fish combined making the
Merlion's design very artistic. In terms of Principles of design, the Merlion is designed to be
symmetrical. When cut into half vertically it would be the same.

1. Arts and crafts are useful to me as a student in a way that it inspires me to create one. It helps
me boost my artistic skills and encourage me to express myself through arts and crafts. It also
serves as my stress reliever.
2. If I were to become an artist, my inspiration would be creating artworks using the majestic
tourist spots and scenery like the beach, farm, mountains, islands and many more. I want to use
it as my inspiration because I am grateful to be able to see the artistic creations of God.
3. The Philippines has a larger and more vigorous artistic community than any other Southeast
Asian nations because it has four cultural heritages.

Reflect

1. There are some similarities on the arts and crafts of Philippines and to the rest of the Southeast
Asian countries because we were colonized. We were influenced by their culture. There are also
differences because our country has lots of creative community and cultural heritages compared
to the other Asian countries.
 2. I gain the value of creativity, determination, and patience. Creating art works is not easy,
enhancing our skills and creativity is needed. It takes time, we need to be patient to earn a
worthy kind of art.
3. I will apply all my learnings when I create arts by applying the values, I have gain. To encourage
others to create their own art too and inspire them how beautiful the arts and crafts of the
Philippines is.

1. The problem is the spreading of false rumors. I will take actions by reporting the issue to the
school authorities for it to be addressed and taken down and settled for good.
