the given picture.
2. Differentiate the functions of each organ by showing a video clip.
3. Give the importance of five senses in the human body.

B. Activity: PUZZLE WORD
Divide the class into two groups. Show each group the picture that will serve as
the clue to arrange the given puzzle word. The first group to finish will be the winner and
will receive the prize.

C. Analysis:
The teacher will ask the students how their eyes, nose, ears, hands and tongue
help them in their daily lives. Then the students will answer. After that, the
teacher will show a video clip about the human senses.

D. Abstraction:
Humans have five basic senses: touch, sight, hearing, smell and taste. The
sensing organs associated with each sense send information to the brain to help us
understand and perceive the world around us.
1. Touch – Skin is our sense of touch. Sense of touch is important in a number
of ways. It can detect different textures as well as temperatures of different
levels. It makes us feel and tell whether an object is hot or cold, rough or
smooth, and hard or soft.
2. Sight – Eye is our sense of sight. The eyes is for seeing, we could identify the
colors, textures, the height, the shapes, the size of different things. Our eye is
the window of our soul.
3. Hearing – Ear is our sense of hearing. The ear is the organ that detects
sound. It helps us hear different sounds that may be soft or loud.
4. Smell – Nose is our sense of smelling. The use of nose is to be able to smell
things. It helps us smell different odors that can be pleasant or unpleasant.
Some objects or things are odorless.
5. Taste – Tongue is our sense of taste. It helps us to identify whether the taste
of foods is sweet, sour, delicious, and salty.
E. Application:
 Group Activity
The teacher will divide the class into five groups. The group who has list down on the
board with many examples given according to their assigned uses of senses in 3
minutes will get an additional 2 points in the quiz. The group who listed many examples
will explain the importance of that senses in the human body.

Group 4 – Sense of Sight
Group 5 – Sense of Touch

F. Assessment:
Give the senses of organ use in the following:
1. A delicious sandwich.
2. Rainbow looks beautiful.
3. Chocolate is sweet.
4. The cotton is soft.
5. Vinegar is sour.
6. Fragrance of flowers.
7. Soft fur of a rabbit.
8. Beautiful song on the radio.
9. Loud sound of speaker.
10. Beautiful lady.

G. Assignment:
1. List down at least five names of each food that taste sweet, sour, bitter and
salty.
2. Give at least five objects or things that produce sounds.
