III. LESSON DEVELOPMENT:

Teacher Activity Student’s Activity

A. Checking of attendance
B. Greetings: Good Morning Class! - Good Morning Ma’am
C. Motivation:
Let the students watch the video about -The students will watch the video about
Water Cycle Song Water Cycle Song
D. Review / Recall:
Class, what was our lesson yesterday? -Ma’am about Food Chain
Very Good!
Anyone who can describe a food chain? -A food chain refers to one organism eat the
other organism
Very Good!
Our lesson for today is all about Water cycle -Ma’am water that involves different stages
When you heard the word water cycle what comes
in your mind? Anymore? -Ma’am Water cycle is a process, it happens
again and again
Can you name some of the stages of water cycle? -Evaporation, Condensation, and Precipitation
Very Good!
Water never leaves the earth. It is constantly being
cycled through the atmosphere, ocean and land.
This process is known as water cycle.
The sun heats up liquid water and changes it to a gas by
the process of what? -Evaporation
Water that evaporates from the earth’s oceans, lakes,
rivers, and moist soil rises up into the atmosphere.
How about transpiration? How does it occur? -Transpiration is the process of evaporation
from plants or in other words it is like a plant
sweating
What about condensation? -Condensation is a water in the form of gas that
rises higher in the atmosphere. It starts to cool
and become a liquid again

1
Very Good!
When a large amount of water vapor condenses, it
results in the formation of clouds
When the water in the clouds gets too heavy, the
water falls back to the earth and this is called as
what? -Precipitation
When rain falls on the land, some of the water is
absorbed into the ground forming pockets of water
called what? -Groundwater
Most groundwater eventually returns to the ocean.
Other precipitation runs directly into streams or
rivers. Water that collects in the rivers, streams, and
oceans is called what? -Runoff
IV. ACTIVITY:
The teacher gives the activity to the students to -The students executed the activity
execute

V. GENERALIZATION:
Water cycle refers to the constantly being
cycled in the atmosphere, ocean, and land.
It involves also stages such as Evaporation,
Condensation, and Precipitation.
