A. Preparation

 Prayer

Let us pray first. May i ask Justin to lead the (Our father)
prayer. Amen!
Amen!

Good morning, class! good morning, teacher lyn! It's nice to

see you again.

Okay, before you take your seats, let us sing (Pupil's do their usual energizer)
and dance a Gummy Bear!. (Teacher will
play a video)
Yes, teacher!
Okay, is everyone have enough energy now?

Now, kindly check if there are pieces of

paper under your chair, please pick it up and (Pupil's do as told)
arrange your chair properly.

 Checking of attendance
For now, let us check your attendance, say Yes, teacher!
present if your name is called.

Okay, no one is absent today! Please pass

your assignment forward.

Before anything else, what is it again about

our classroom rules? everybody! Be respectful,

Be quiet,

show cooperation, and

listen to the teacher.

 Review

As a review class, who can still recall about About the solar system teacher!
our last topic? Yes, Criscel?

That's right! yesterday, we discussed about

the solar system. We noticed that the solar
system is the sun and all objects that orbit it.

Why is it called a system in itself? Yes, Jessa? Because our sun is named sol, after the
laten word for sun, solis, and anything
related to sun we call it solar.

The planet mercy, uranus, neptune,

Okay, thank you jessa, then what are the earth, venus, mars, jupiter, saturn,
members of the solar system, again? Yes, pluto.
Robelyn?

Great! now, are we all clear in the solar

Yes, teacher!
system?

1. Elicit

(Teacher will present a pictures in the

board)
Now, i have here a picture. Based on this
pictures what is your observation? do you
have any idea why is this happen? Yes, cookie
joy?

Okay, thank you cookie joy. We all know that There is no rain, that is why the land is
if no rain, our surrounding will dry as well as dried up.
the lakes and river.

How about the second picture?

Alright! This is what happen to the earth if we

will continue not experiencing rain.
Shortage of water, teacher!
Through this situation class, we will be
experiencing shortage of water globally,
because water is the most importance in our
daily living.

Now, do you think the amount of water on

earth decreases since its existence? yes,
gecyl?

Okay, gecyl say no. Another! No, teacher!

If not, the amount of water on earth does not
change. It remains the same. Why? today, we
will find out.

B. Lesson Proper

2. Engage

Class, i want you to listen closely, because

this morning, we are going to discuss about
the water cycle..

Let us examine this diagram of the water

cycle.
Now, what is your idea, where does the rain
come from? yes, mia? Clouds, teacher!
Alright! the rain comes from the clouds.
Clouds are made of water droplets. Within a
cloud, water droplets condense into one
another, causing the droplets to grow. When
these water droplets get too heavy to stay
suspended in the cloud, they fall to Earth as
rain.

Where do clouds come from? Water, teacher!

Okay, clouds form from water in the sky. The
water may evaporate from the ground or
move from other areas.

Clouds form when an area of air becomes

cooler until the water vapor there condenses
to liquid form.

3. Explore

(The diagram of the water cycle)

The teacher will challenge the pupils to think

about these questions.

Now, as you can see in the diagram, how

does water move?

Okay, what is the process involved in the

movement of the water cycle?
Arrows, teachers!
Another! Evaporation,

Very good!

What do we call the movement of water in Condensation,

the biosphere?
Precipitation, and collection
Excellence! we call it Water Cycle because of
the movement and its process.
Water cycle, teacher!

4. Explain

What is water cycle? yes, daisy lou?

Thank you daisy lou.

Yes, and also continously moves in the

Water cycle, is the process which water
biosphere. This movement of water is called
moves from place to place above, on
the water cycle. Is that clear?
and below the surface.
Okay, let us continue.

The water cycle class, is made up of four

process envolved such as evaporation,
condensation, precipitation and collections.
Let us understand each process one by one. Yes teacher!

The first process of a water cycle is

evaporation

As you can see in this picture evaporation it is

the energy of the sun causes some water in
the soil, oceans, lakes and river and living
things to turn into water vapor in the air
through evaporation.

The second process of the water cycle is

condensation
This is a picture of condensation, as you can
see it is a water vapor in the air cools, it
undergoes condensation, that is water vapor
changes to water droplets and form clouds.

The third process of the water cycle is

precipitation

This picture represent in precipitation

process it is the water back to the earth in
the form of rain in tropical countries and
snow, sleet, rain and hail stones in cold
countries.

The last process involved in the water cycle is

collection

This picture of collection is this happen

when water go back together into the
different bodies of water, ground, and plants.

Therefore class, water cycle shows the

continuous movement of water within the
Earth and atmosphere. It is a complex system
that includes many different processes.

Liquid water evaporates into water vapor,

condenses to form clouds, and precipitates
back to earth in the form of rain and snow.

Then, the cycle start over and over again.

C. Comparison and Abstraction

is that clear and understood? Yes, teacher!

What is the four process envolved can be Evaporation,

described in the water cycle?
Condensation,

Precipitation, and

Collection.

Condensation, teacher!

Good! how about the water vapor rises

higher into the air, what the process is this? Collection, teacher!
Yes, how about this one. what process
involved when water go back together into
the different bodies of water, ground, plants? The arrows, teacher!

Great! how does the water move based in

the diagram? yes, aliyah?
Water cycle, teacher!
Very good! thank you aliyah.

Again, what do we call the movement of

water in biosphere? Yes, Claire?

Exactly! Again, what are the process involved

in the movement of water cycle? yes,
sahanna? Evaporation
Yes, evaporation. Another? Condensation
Condensation, what else?

Precipitation and collection Precipitation and Collection

Correct! and these process such us

evaporation, condensation, precipitation and
collection is the process that can be
described in the water cycle.
(Pupils will do as told)
Very good, class! everybody clap your hands
because you really did listen to our discussion
today.

5. Elaborate

Do you understand already what is our lesson

this morning?

Again, there are four processes involved in

the water cycle such as evaporation followed
by condensation, precipitation, and
collection.

Evaporation is the process that the energy of

the sun causes some water in the soil,
oceans, lakes and river and living things to
turn into water vapor in the air through
evaporation.

Condensation it is a water vapor in the air

cools, it undergoes condensation, that is
water vapor changes to water droplets and
form clouds.

Precipitation it is a return the water back to

the earth in the form of rain in tropical
countries and snow, sllet, rain and hail stones
in cold countries.

Collection is this happen when water go back

together into the different bodies of water,
ground, and plants.

So, these are the four processes involved in

the water cycle. Evaporation, condensation,
precipitation and collection.

6. Extend

For further understanding of this lesson. Let

us apply what you have learned. This time i
will group you into four (4). Listen carefully
class, because all you have to do is to
examine the pictures of the water cycle.

All you have to do is describing the changes

that happen in each process based in the
picture. I will give you 5 minutes to finish this
activity. Each group will receive an envelope
containing the picture designated to you.

1. Group Activity

Group 1.
Group 1. Evaporation start from the
sea, the energy of the sun causes some
water in the soil, ocean, lakes to turn in
into water vapor in the air.

Group 2
Group 2. Condensation is a water vapor
changes to water droplets and form
clouds.

Group 3. Precipitation is a return

water back to the earth surface that
Group 3
form of rain.

Group 4. Collection is when the water

that falls from the clouds as rain, snow,
hail or sleet then go back to the ground.
Group 4

2. Independent practice
Identify the process involved as indicated in
the arrow.

It is good teacher, we already know

about the water cycle and its processes.

Water is the most important teacher,

because water can save many lives.

F. Values Integration
I use water everyday teacher! in taking
a bath, watering plants, drinking,
cooking and washing clothes.
What can you say about our activity today?

Yes, we do teacher!
Very good! Based on your activity, what is
the importance of water in our daily life?

Yes, so when do we use water? yes, justin? We need to use water properly in home
as well as the water that surround us,
and we give the importance of it.

Alright! we use water in our daily task. We

connot survive without water. In your home
class, do you turn off the faucet off when not
in use?

Very good! what do we need to do to prevent

water shortage?

Exactly! we need to use water properly, and

also we always thankful that we have water
to use in our daily living.

IV. Evaluation

7. Evaluate

Identify the process involved that describe

in each sentences. write the correct answer
in the space provided.
water cycle evaporation condensation
precipitation collection

______1. It is the process wherein the water

falls back to in the form of rain and it may go
into the ocean, lakes or rivers.

______2. The sun heats up water in seas,

rivers, lakes and turn it into water vapor and
rises up into the air

______3. It is the process which water

moves continuously in the biosphere.

______4. It is the process when the water

go back together into the different bodies of
water ground, and plants.

______5. It is the clouds, get heavy and water

that falls back to the earth in the form of rain.

V. Assignment

Directions: Answer this in 1 whole sheet of

paper.

1. What is your understanding about

evaporation? (refer to the diagram of
the water cycle).
2. What is your understanding about
precipitation? (refer to the diagram of
the water cycle).
3. What is the role of heat and air
in flow of water in the water cycle?
4. Do you think weather affects
evaporation of water from land and
sea? Explain how.
