Activities Plan for Fall Semester (2021)

The following curricular and extracurricular activities will be completed in the fall semester
(2021) to help students learn effectively.
Health and Safety Management
Curriculum Activities:
Project and presentation activities will be used to enhance students' learning. In particular,
students will need to visit an organization (either manufacturing or non-manufacturing) to
learn about health and safety policy and practices. It will provide practical demonstrations to
students about health and safety exercises in organizations, especially after COVID-19. In addition, it
is assigned on an individual basis and will be completed in four weeks (01-November-2021 –
30- November-2021).

Extra Curriculum Activities


Movies (i.e. Silkwood, 1983 & Metropolis, 1927) and professional discourse (i.e. Ted Talks) on
health & safety practices will be used to enhance students' knowledge bank.

Moreover, through COVID-19 training (Demo), we will discuss potential health and safety
issues and solutions. This will also include a special focus on working from home and office
before and after the COVID-19 lockdown.

Principles of Management
Curriculum Activities
The presentation approach will be used as a curriculum activity. This will enable students to
communicate confidently and present their ideas and solutions to fellow employees and managers.It
will be assigned on a group basis and completed in two weeks (01-November-2021 – 15-
November-2021).
In addition, topic-related activities (such as role-playing) are planned to make students
learning experience interesting and valuable.
Extra-curriculum Activities
Panel interviews, guest lectures, professional discourse (i.e., Ted Talks)and business movies
will be used tohelp students understand the practical aspects of management. Following are
the further details on the activities mentioned above:
 Panel Interview:
Plan to conduct a panel interview session in the classroom. Students are supposed to
be randomly selected for the role of interviewer and interviewee. I will provide
ongoing feedback on the process of interview and interview questions.
 Guest lecture – Bank Manager's visit:
I plan to invite a bank manager to educate students on the policy/practice of
management concepts in real-world business.

 Others Activities:
In addition, business movies and professional discourse (i.e. Ted Talks) on
management will be used to enhance students' understanding of subject theory and
practice.
