PROJECT: PROPOSED LIGHTING LAYOUT FOR PACO PUBLIC MARKET

LOCATION: 1234 STREET PACO MANILA, PHILIPPINES

RE: REGULAR DESIGN SERVICES

Dear Sir,
We would like to submit our best offer for the Design Services of your Lighting Layout
of the public market. Breakdown of Professional services as follows, to wit:

I. SCOPE OF WORKS
1. Attend conference/s with the Client-Owner, or with technical staff to get relevant
information about the project current status, (if required),
2. Designing and drafting of lighting layout:

3. Submit one set of Bill of Quantities,
4. Submit three sets of Material Specifications duly signed and sealed,
5. Sign and seal of the blue prints of lighting plans provided. Printing is not included.

II. CONTRACT AMOUNT

 The Lump Sum Professional Fee for the lighting layout of the project mentioned above is
amounting to (10% to 15%) PHP 3,000.00 to PHP 4,500,00.00 of the cost of work depending on the
complexity of the work required by the project.

III. MODE OF PAYMENT AND CONDITIONS

Upon signing of Contract a down payment equivalent to THIRTY (30%) PERCENT of contract
price shall be released.

Upon presentation of develop design drawings, an amount equivalent to FORTY-FIVE (45%)

PERCENT shall be released,

Upon submission of sign and sealed drawings, the balance of FIFTEEN (15%) PERCENT be
released.

Design, drafting and sign seal shall be done in FIFTEEN (15) working days reckoned from receipt
of the down payment, base plan/s and signed contract.

if check payment, please pay to San Miguel Lighting and Engineering Services.

If required for site visit and to attend the weekly technical coordination meeting, the design-
consultant/s shall be paid of 5,000.00 each day per site visit, or 4,000.00 for technical staff /
representative, plus travel expense, meal allowance and accommodation, if project location is
outside Metro-Manila.

IV. CLIENT’S RESPONSIBILITY

1. Provide base plans in cad file, as-built drawings if there is existing structure to be considered,
instructional notes and data pertaining to type of lighting fixtures, and other equipment model,
brand, etc. that would be necessary to complete the design.

2. Once design is done and submitted before changes or additional instruction is given, the revision
of drawings shall be charged accordingly and shall be computed base on the man hour rate of the

We would like to submit our best offer for the design and installation of your lighting
requirements listed hereunder. Breakdown of scope of works with costs as follows, to wit,

A. SCOPE OF WORKS AND ITS COST

I. Installation of fluorescent lighting fixtures
II. Installation of lighting switch
III. Installation of conduit fixtures
IV. Installation of fuse box

B. MODE OF PAYMENT AND GENERAL CONDITIONS:

1. Upon signing of contract an amount equivalent to 30% shall be released as down
payment. Balance shall be in progress billing, upon submission of the approved progress
report, recoupment to the down payment.
2. Any additional instruction, changes not reflected on drawings, or not discussed prior to
the start of project or item/s shall be so agreed upon by both parties before work is to be
implemented.
3. If the project shall not be pushed through or will be stopped due to an unavoidable
circumstances not controlled by the contractor, the contractor shall be paid of the amount
equivalent to the latest accomplishment report submitted.
4. Damages due to the force majeure, immediate use of of the facilities, shall not be charged
to the contractor, and work shall be repaired on the agreed amount by both parties.
5. Warranty shall be the effect for one year reckoned from the date of acceptance of work.
6. Retention of 10% shall be released within 30 calendar days reckoned from acceptance of
work.

C. COMMENCEMENT OF WORK
1. Upon receipt of the down payment, we will mobilize our workers, tools and equipment to
finish the project in accordance to scope of works written in the BOQ, and lighting
layout plans drawn on working drawings.
2. Project shall be finished within the General Contractors project schedule.

3. draftsmen multiplied by profit of 15% plus 12% tax, if required.
