The invaluable experience obtained through practice remains unmatched by the knowledge
obtained through textbooks. My endeavor to build a career for myself would have remained
unaccomplished without the support of my institution and university – which provided me with
the opportunity to learn and grow by experiencing the life of a corporate first hand. I am also
immensely grateful to EY India for giving me this opportunity to be a part of their esteemed
organization, allowing me to develop a deep insight into the working of a management
consulting firm. I would also like to thank my mentors, Mr. Srajan Rastogi and Ms. Priya Bathla,
for taking time out of their busy schedules to help me understand the industry and concepts of
transactions and assisted me in out of the box thinking. They also helped me streamline my
interests so that I can plan my career in a more effective way. This internship has not only
allowed me to gain some clarity on my future but has also given me glimpses into the world of
consultancy thereby assisting me in choosing a career path that is in line with my interests and
goals. I think that this opportunity is a big milestone in my career development. I will strive to
use gained skills and knowledge in the best possible way, and I will continue to work on their
improvement, in order to attain desired career objectives. Hope to continue cooperation with all

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The internship pursued is in the field of strategy & marketing at EY India, a prominent Audit and
Consultancy Organsiation. EY, formerly known as Ernst & Young Global Limited, is
a multinational professional services network with headquarters in London, England. EY is one
of the largest professional services networks in the world.

The internship was in the digital education platform currently being developed by EY to cater the
growing need of online certifications in the domain of Financial Research, Risk Management and
Consultancy. The fast changing corporate world demands a constant upgrade of skills and
knowledge. With the need to bridge the gap between industry and education, EY’s certification
program focuses on seven key areas of finance and treasury such as cash and liquidity
management, supply chain finance and trade finance, investment management, corporate
finance, financial risk management, treasury analytics and treasury structures.

The work in the internship was focused primarily upon research and innovation. The task was to
perform a competitor analysis in the Online Education and MOOC industry and then provide
recommendation on the basis of the study. Which would further be utilized in the process of
upgrading the website to enhance and simplify the functioning and efficiency of the digital
platform.
