retrenchment. In this dynamic and ever-changing environment, finding a company that
follows one of the above-mentioned strategies is extremely difficult; most companies use
a combination of strategies.

Because of its four components, Google has gained an advantage over competitors such as
Microsoft, Yahoo, and other search engines.

Comprehensiveness: It has a well-designed, clean, and uncluttered website.

Relevance: It organizes and delivers everything that is relevant.

Speed: It moves at a breakneck pace.

User experience: When searching, users are at ease.

The technical team at Google is hard at work developing a search engine that "understands
exactly what you mean and gives you exactly what you want."

In comparison to other search engines, Google has risen to prominence as a result of its search
queries, which are based on technologies such as PageRank Technology etc.

HR Strategy

Many employees consider Google to be the best place to work. Employees are the company's
most important asset. All of the company's benefits assist it in attracting top employees who are
willing to spend their entire day at the workplace. Google's entire HR policy is based on hiring
the best talent, forcing them to work hard and long hours, and keeping them at Google for a long
time. In order to support the growing expansion of the Google workforce across the globe,

the organizational strategies and its characteristic as well as business environment and
organizational capability. Apart from its technological capabilities, Google's success and fame
can be attributed to its innovative and efficient human resources. It stands out from the crowd in
terms of its emphasis on employees and their well-being. When it comes to employee
satisfaction, Google expects nothing less than the best.

Google's employee management methods have resulted in the creation of innovative and high-
quality products that meet customers' needs. Furthermore, the management approach has ensured
that employees possess the distinct capabilities and skills required for increased performance.

Candidates must go through a rigorous selection process. Google employs a cutting-edge

recruiting tool that uses algorithms rather than traditional hiring methods such as academic
grades, SAT scores, degrees from prestigious universities, prior industry experience, interviews,
and subjective test results to identify potential employees.

HR Policy:

Hiring Practices at Google

Google's hiring process is also very innovative and unconventional. In a traditional company, the
hiring process would include interviews, an academic background check, industry work
experience, and so on, but not at Google. Google has developed a cutting-edge hiring process
based on algorithms, making the entire hiring process more scientific and data-driven. However,
there are some criticisms of this type of process because it can take months and is inconvenient

for applicants; however, it has proven to be very profitable for Google in terms of hiring the best
talent in the industry.

Employee Benefits and Compensation Packages for Retention:

Google's compensation and benefit packages are the company's primary HRM tool for
maintaining high-quality employees. The pay packages offered by the organization are
competitive and above average. Google, for example, offers competitive salary and benefits.
Employees also receive free meals and other incentives and bonuses. The company's usual
workplace design promotes fun and creativity, which attracts and retains creative and
imaginative employees.

Motivating the Employees:

Google has tremendous financial resources at its disposal. It spends a lot of money on providing
benefits to its employees that are unmatched by any other company in the world. As a result, any
employee will find it to be a highly motivating place to work. Employees can go talk to
executives and other team members and share their ideas and thoughts because Google has a
very flat organizational structure. Google has made a concerted effort to eliminate the
bureaucratic barriers that normally exist in such a large corporation. This also explains why the
company has no dress code and no formal meeting structure that employees must adhere to.

Training and Development:

Google has built an environment that encourages employees to learn new things on a regular
basis. Employees have the opportunity to learn and progress on a constant basis. Google offers
specialized training in areas such as public speaking, content development, management, and
leadership. Google employees can also take advantage of free foreign language and culture
classes.

Conclusion

Google is one of the only firms whose employees know that they will be compensated for their
innovative efforts regardless of whether the product they are working on succeeds or fails. This
is a powerful motivator for staff to continue to work on new ideas. This is also an example of
how a company's HR strategy is inextricably related to its business plan.
