OPEN Digital Badge FAQs

What are badges?

Badges are visual representations of academic achievement, and they can be shared across the internet.
Badges can be displayed on many platforms, such as blogs, websites, professional networks, job
applications, social media sites, and e-mail signatures.

Badges are not just pictures! They are like online certificates that can be verified by employers or
academic institutions. Each badge is encoded with data that confirms the knowledge, skills, and
achievements you earned as a result of your course.

Your badge is unique to you, and it cannot be shared or used by anyone else.

How can I download and use my badge?

1. You will receive an e-mail from noreply@badgr.com with the subject line “Congratulations, you
earned a badge.”

2. To download your badge, click the “download” button in the body of the e-mail. An image of
your badge will appear. Please save this image.
