Unit 4 - CREAM Strategy for Learning

Different people have different learning characteristics. Through the LLC

questionnaire, I make a well understanding of my study habit. First, my strengths are

curiosity, meaning-making, and imagination. From my point of view, these characteristics all

help my learning in different aspects. Curiosity raised my motivation to try something new,

what’s more, I can win happiness through satisfying my curiosity. This feeling let me get to

the bottom of things. What’s more, I think meaning-making is essentials, it will let me built

basic concepts before I begin to contact new things. Making connections between new things

I am learning and things I already know is an effective way to learn new things. Not only can

I learn easier, but also draw inferences about other cases from one instance. In addition, I am

always creative because of my imagination. When I wait quietly, good ideas sometimes rush

into my head. More magical, I always get my best thought when I just let my mind float free.

How wonderful learning characteristics!

On the other hand, my weaknesses learning characteristic is strategic awareness. I

can’t face troubles calmly if I get stuck with them. It is for this reason that there is ample

capacity to deal with emergencies.

Looking at C R E A M learning strategies, reflection and motivation are the factors I

need to improve. Self-criticism can make people have a clearer understanding of themselves,

some people do not know what their shortcomings are, arrogant people are particularly

suitable for self-criticism, they can find a lot of shortcomings in themselves, to correct, a

clearer understanding of what kind of person they are. Another hand, motivation is the first

condition of achieving a purpose, which also can help me overcome nervousness when I meet

complete troubles. That’s all my opinions.
