Find the meaning of following Filipino values listed above.

1. Personal Dignity- is the belief that all people hold a special value that tied solely to
their humanity.
2. Prudence Value- being careful about your choices, stopping and thinking before
acting.
3. Survival Value- the property of an ability, faculty or Characteristics that makes
individuals possessing it more likely to survive, thrive, and reproduce.
4. Diligence- devoted and painstaking work and application to accomplish an
undertaking. Careful and persistent work or effort.
5. Patience- the capability to accept or tolerate delay, trouble or suffering without getting
angry or upset.
6. Diplomacy Value- is the art of negotiating. It is the chief instrument dealing with
foreign countries and foreign relations.
7. Work Value- are beliefs or principles relating to your career or place of work.
8. Self-initiative Value- by deciding to help someone else or do their work, you are
showing initiative, and it’s coming from you.
9. Family Value- values held to be traditionally learned or reinforce within a family,
such as those of high moral standards and discipline.
10. Human fellowship Value- is a feeling of friendship that people have when they are
talking or doing something together and sharing their experiences.
11. Non-violence value- the use of peaceful means, not force, to bring about political or
social change.
12. Education Value- is the process by which people give moral values to each other.
13. Religion Value- reflect the beliefs and practices which a religious adherent partakes
in. what people expect of themselves and of others based on the common beliefs to
the religious they practices.
14. Hospitality Value- it means being truly caring, trusting and investing costumers. It’s
hospitality that makes business strong and helps eliminate anxiety created by the
paradox of choice the overwhelming amount of options that costumers are faced with
on a daily basis.
15. Freedom & Love of Country Value/ Patriotic- having or expressing devotion to and
vigorous support for one’s country.
16. Self-discipline-the ability to control one’s feeling and overcome one’s weaknesses;
the ability to pursue what one thinks is right despite temptations to abandon it.
17. Parental responsibility- refers to all duties, power, responsibilities, and authority that
parents have in relation to their children.
18. Cardinal Virtues- are the four virtues of mind and character in both classical
philosophy and Christian theology. Each of the natural virtues of justice, prudence,
temperance, and fortitude.

 Choose 3 Filipino Values mentioned in this lesson and then explain in your own
words with the reflection through yourself.

The three Filipino values that may I reflect to myself are Parental
responsibility, Educational Value, and Religious Value, because three values
were are inherit from our parents and from our grandparents. I choose this
three values because parental responsibility is the one of main priority as time
goes by, I want to take care my parents until in their last breath, before it will
happened I want to finish first my studies because this is the only treasure that
our parents can inherit to us that no one can steal it, and this is the only thing
that make them proud. I also choose religious belief because for me this is my
main weapon to defeat all the circumstances that may come into my life.
Having a good relationship to our almighty father, having a good relation to all
the people that surrounded us, we don’t have any worried to our life, as long
as we surrender everything to him, he will always protect us and lead to the
way that he planned for us. For me this three beliefs will I can reflect to
myself.
