Activity 3: Stained-Glass Making

Directions: Pattern like mille fleur or thousand flowers show influence which may have been due to Crusades. In this activity,
you will create an example of a mille fleur in a recycled bottle/glass.

MATERIALS:
✔ Recycled empty glass Bottle/Jar/Can
✔ Permanent Marker
✔ Acrylic paint/poster Paint
✔ White Glue
✔ Water

PROCEDURES:

1. Choose the design for your stained-glass bottle. It should be relevant with the medieval themes and symbolism. You may
use the themes, motifs and patterns that promote your region.

2. Trace the design outside the bottle using the permanent black marker. Your outline should be bold and thick using any
acrylic paint/any medium, color your patterns.

Note: Make sure to


keep the pictures
for the step by step
procedures that you
make to be used as
future references.

After coloring, re-outline your design with black marker to make the outline precise and visible. Take the final photo of your
stained glass with mille fleur design and you can add candle of lights inside.
