1、Brief introduction

Model YJ1.5, YJ3, YJ5 hydraulic winches are drove by low speed and big
toque hydraulic motor and can be stopped hydraulic control brake. Main
components are assembled with originally imported equipments. The surface of
winch is treated with special technical process, good—outlook, compact
structure and convenient installation. Model YJ5 is the patent of Litian
Transmission Co. Ltd. It is used widely when dragging heavy goods and lifting
work in petroleum, coal mine, railway, mining engineering, shipment, harbor
and architecture engineering and so on.

3、Structure and working principle

3.1 Structure(see attached drawing1)

Hydraulic winch is mainly composed of balance valve, hydraulic motor,
liquid brake, drum, reducer, side bar, base, bearing and so on.
Working of the winch is completed by two systems. One is supporting
system which controls the lifting and descending speed of heavy goods;
another is hydraulic control brake system which can auto—brake even without
oil pressure and let the heavy goods stay freely on its track.
3.2Working principle(see attached drawing2)
3.2.1Hoisting condition:
Operate the reversal valve 5, let the valve stem of it to right end, hydraulic
oil will flow into hydraulic control brake 1 through shuttle valve 5. Meanwhile
the hydraulic oil will open the check valve of sequence valve 3 and enter to
hydraulic motor 2, and this will give hydraulic motor a whirling trend. But the
hydraulic motor cannot revolve because of the action of hydraulic control brake
and the oil pressure is forced to increase till the hydraulic control brake is
opened and brake is released. Then the hydraulic motor will realize normal
operation and complete the hoisting working.

3.2.2Brake condition:
Operate the reversal valve 5, let the reversal valve is in the middle position,
hydraulic oil backflows into oil tank from the reversal valve. No pressure is
made in the system, so the hydraulic motor 2 is locked by hydraulic control
brake 1 through the spring force to make the hydraulic motor unable to operate
and realize stopping.
3.2.3Descending condition:
Operate the reversal valve 5 let it to left end. Hydraulic oil will flow into
hydraulic control brake 1 and hydraulic motor2 through shuttle valve 4 to give
the motor a whirl trend. But the hydraulic motor cannot revolve because of the
action of hydraulic control brake and the oil pressure is forced to increase till
the hydraulic control brake is opened and brake is released. Meanwhile the
motor just revolves slowly according to internal decompression because the
pilot valve in the sequence valve 3 has not opened. When the oil pressure
increases up to the opening pressure of pilot valve, hydraulic motor can revolve
normally and realizes descending working.
Hydraulic motor is pumping as oil pump when the heavy goods are
descending, and this will decrease the pressure of inflow point. If the
descending speed is excessively fast and oil pressure of inflow point decrease
too much, the sequence valve 3 will close automatically to cut the oil scavenger
way of motor. The motor revolving speed becomes slow in order to increase the
oil pressure to open the sequence valve, then the motor recovers normal
operation, heavy goods can descend at normal speed. This process is completed
immediately. So as to a certain opening of reversal valve 5, dynamic balance
can be established, and then it can descend stably.

4.1 Winch should be installed tighten on the platform. Bolt grade is 8.8.
Quantity decreasing and grade descending are not permissible.
4.2 Bottom plate installation shall be flat and tighten. All degree of
irregularity is no more than 0.5mm.
4.3 When installing the drilling line, it should be through the installing
hole on the drum and pressed by the board. The correct spooling direction for
1.5t and 3t is as: seeing from the motor, the anticlockwise of the drum is the
direction for lifting the weight and, clockwise is for dropping direction, or else
the accident would happen, however, there is no restriction for 5T winch.
4.4 The grease cup for drilling line should be smeared regularly in order to
reduce the wear and rust of drilling line when using.
4.5 The angle between the center line of drum and the vertical face of the
pulley should be no more than 1.5 degree. The uprightness should be assured
between the axle line of drum and the vertical face of pulley.

5、Operation

5.1 Reversal valve should be model H or model Y median function.

5.2 Hydraulic oil should be based—mine hydraulic oil with high quality
anti—fiction, anti—foam, anti—oxidations and high-pressure additive.
Allowable oil temperature range is -20℃~80℃, high—quality hydraulic oil
can be adopted in range -40℃~120℃ under special condition. The scope of oil
viscosity is 40~60cSt.
5.3 Filter precision of hydraulic is no more than 30um.
5.4 Wireline should be arranged orderly before operation. More than 5
reels wireline should be kept on the drum during hoisting.
5.5 Run ten(10) minutes without load before the first use. Then increase
the lifting load gradually to rating.

5.6 Controlling the speed through changing the switching of reversal

valve is permissible. It should be pushed and pulled gently when changing gear
shifting in order to prevent the hydraulic components and tubes being damaged
under the oil pressure’s rough impact.
5.7 It is permissible by increasing the pressure of hydraulic motor
reversed to aid braking through controlling valve when spring brake slips
because of extremely heavy goods. But cannot be used usually.
5.8 The hydraulic winch cannot be used as manned tool.
5.9 Inspect wireline frequently ,damaged wireline can’t be used in order
to avoid dangerous.
5.10 Fasteners should be tightened immediately once it loosens.
5.11 Stop the engine and check it to exclude troubles when abnormal
noise occurs. Running is not permitted without excluding the troubles.
5.12 Add adaptable lubricate grease to winch bearing according to the

running environment once a month.
