A vision for the country: Ambisyon Natin 2040
 EO No.5, s.2016 approved and adopted the 25 long-term vision
entitled Ambisyon Natin 2040 as guide for development
planning. It represents collective aspirations of Filipinos to
enjoy a MATATAG, MAGINHAWA, AT PANATAG NA BUHAY.

A plan with a vision: Philippine Development Plan 2017-


2022
 Memorandum Circular No. 12, issued on October 24, 2016
directed the formulation of the Philippine Development Plan (PDP)
and the Public Investment Program (PIP) for the period 2017-
2022.

Purpose: Intends to provide guidance on the
institutionalization of the following:
1. Formulation of the provincial RMs that entails determination of
applicable provincial and city/municipal-level indicators, baselines and
targets based on established regional RMs/SDGs and in accordance
with the respective local development plans;

2. Formulation of RMs of cities and municipalities

3. Ensuring LGU commitment to implement PPAs and allocate budget for


the achievement of targets;

4. Annual assessment of the contributions of cities, municipalities and


provinces in the attainment of PDP-targeted priorities and outcomes
and, consequently, achievement of the PDP and to the most practical
extent, the SDGs.

• Clustering of LGUs for solid waste management facilities and services

• Formulate CLUPs and zoning of residential areas
• Enforce complete delineation, delimitation and zoning of
municipal waters

reporting and response system (MRRS) for children in situations of armed conflict
• To achieve universal social protection: Mainstream social protection in local
development processes
• To build capacities of LGUs in disaster mitigation, and continue to update disaster
risk information to include public safety (including health pandemics)
