CALABARZON

The Department of Agriculture Regional Field
Office No. IV-CALABARZON is one the regional
field offices of the Department of Agriculture.

It envisions to have a modernized smallholder


agriculture and fisheries with a diversified rural
economy that is dynamic, technologically
advanced and internationally competitive.
To date, the regional office has a total of 805
dedicated and strong-willed personnel, working as
partners of the CALABARZON agricultural sector.

It is headed by the Regional Executive Director… -show picture/graphics of DA-4A organizational

council, Regional Technical Director for
Operations, Regional Technical Director for
Research and Regulations.

The CALABARZON regional field office has eight division sa kanilang office.
divisions, namely:

Administrative and Finance Division – The office


extends support services to all the operating
divisions, administers all personnel matters;
maintains a centralized records management
system, and financial statements, and takes
charge in the collection and disbursement of
funds, distribution of supplies, and management
of the motorpool.

Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Division-


PMED implements the participatory planning
process, conduct of strategic impact assessment,
formulation and prioritization of the agriculture and
fisheries public investment plan and provides
regular updated reports on program
implementation to DA management, national
government agencies, and stakeholders.

Field Operations Division- FOD plans, directs, and


coordinates the implementation and protection of
agricultural programs on crops, soils, livestock,
poultry, and rural home management. It also
provides general guidelines and technical
assistance in the promotion and dissemination of
information through extension services.

Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division-


AMAD prepares and initiate the identification of a
regional or provincial agribusiness investment
priority plan and export priority plans. They also
prepare commodity profile, buyer-producers
profile and cost structure analysis.

Regional Agricultural Engineering Division-


RAED is tasked to execute plans, design,
regulate, enforce, and manage agricultural
engineering programs and projects.

Regulatory Division Implements and enforces


laws, rules, regulations pertaining to plant and
animal health, feeds, veterinary drugs, vaccines,
and other agricultural products required by law.

Research Division conducts and harness research


studies involving improved production technology
packages for recommendation to extension
workers, farmers and fishermen in the region and
spearhead the review/alignment of research and
development and evaluation agenda.

Integrated Laboratory Division-ILD provides


laboratory services or tests in order to ensure the
quality of animal feeds, soils and fertilizer being
use by the stakeholders. They also serve as
training facilities in terms of animal disease
diagnosis, crop protection, feeds, soil and fertilizer
analysis.

The DA-4A recognizes the importance of research


in empowering the agricultural sector in the
region. In fact, the regional office maintains
agricultural and research experiment stations that
conduct studies and develops practices that aim
to support and benefit the development of
farmers’ ability.

DA-4A commits to champion commodities through
its six banner programs namely: rice, corn, high
value crops, livestock, organic, and halal.

To achieve the important mandate of the


Department of Agriculture to ensure food
sufficiency in the country, it implements various

achieve bountiful harvest and increased incomes,
