I speak with kindness and
treat students fairly as I
feel this is the best way to
get them to treat me and
others the same. I try to
set an example for them,
and if I notice there is
disrespectful behavior
happening, either in the
Evidence classroom or on the
playground, I will talk
about it at Morning
Meeting.

I have a WIP (Work in

Progress) folder for every
student. If they are not able
to Binish their morning work,
they must put it in their WIP
folder and work on it at
other times during the week
when they have Binished
something else early. We
Evidence have Finish Up Friday where
they are expected to make
sure that their WIP folder is
empty and all work from the
week is done. This way, every
student is held accountable
to Binish all of their work for
the week. 9/25/21

This is a work in
progress for me. I
have some pretty
challenging behaviors
in my classroom this
year. I have already
had to call a parent
regarding their child’s
behavior. I give
individual incentives,
Evidence and whole classroom
incentives. I also have
a discipline plan for
individual students
who are not following
classroom rules. I
remind students of
expectations at least
once a week during
morning meeting.

Our weekly schedule
is always the same. I
believe this helps
students to know
what is expected at
each transition. I call
out bad behavior as I
see it, but I do try to
call out more of the
good behavior. If
someone is shouting
Evidence out answers, I will
often ignore it and
call on the person
who is raising their
hand and say, “Thank
you for raising your
hand.” The shouters
have started to notice
this and are starting
to raise their hand
more when they want
to speak. 9/25/21
